Mirasol, "the issue is your opinion and doesn't count- the Govt thinks it's a problem so no fraccing" . Be careful what you wish for Mirasol....Times change.......especially in a crisis.....even more so in a war situation.
Justbe, well i have scrutinised the article you posted and these are my comments,
The article is regarding "deep water disposal" and not fracking .
The model shows water into shale, fracking ( not UKOG )
Water into the oil reservoir, (proposed UKOG)
Then twice the distance to the water disposal depth (definitely not UKOG)
The picture of the house shows what appears to be a fallen chimney stack but strangely no damage to the building structure itself, indicating a possibility of a faked photo.
Now to the comments from Art McGarr (USGS seismologist "the modelling is getting somewhat ahead of the available data." later saying . ........(referring to other data) as long as they kept their disposal volumes and pressures below a certain threshold , the earth stayed quiet.
There you have it, conflicting accounts in the same article, none of which applies to UKOG, and is about the consequences of " deep water disposal " not fracking.
I hope that qualifies for a fair honest assessment.
Penguin,I am not talking about the negative things that we all know have happened ie:- bad luck, bad judgement on drilling decisions, delays on planning permissions(various) court cases etc.....i am talking about the downright stupid comments we see every day from very frequent posters, you know the ones. and while that is the topic why do you keep mentioning Adrian to me as he is absolutely nothing to do with me, and how can ZYX098 make correct assessments on my posts as he has recently stated he filtered me yonks ago, also i have never made any comments on your thoughts on fracking i was only referring to recent articles on the subject........please note I have never had anything to do with Adrian (whoever he is) but i have asked questions on matters he has raised ie:- water injection, as i have said before, i cannot discuss the technicalities as i am not qualified but I complimented ZXY the other day on what I thought was a fair post.
Ninetails, no mate the "just be honest" was a dig of that poster who usually isn't...namely justbe.as ZYX098 had posted that fracking in the UK had not been allowed to be proven either way, it was a comment about the anti fracking brigade not you and your colleagues personally, everyone is entitled to their opinion. mine is the earthquake situation has been grossly exaggerated by the eco warriors...if i have offended you i apologize ,it was not meant....but i am opposed to the nomarks making stupid comments on this forum, as i always say :- what will be will be with this share, there are too many silly negative comments on here for what reason? That is the question.
ZYX098, well why not take a look, it won't hurt, unfortunately those many moons ago i let myself be dragged into silly spats with an idiot called fizzocks, because of this people filtered me, but no worries , being filtered doesn't hurt does it
Justbe honest, that just sounds like an offshore worker promoting his own job (offshore drilling) , and wouldn't the people he speaks to in his job say the same to protect " their " jobs also.
I read that posted article and i read the reply from ZYX987 and have also read an article by Andrew Neil today posted on the SOU forum, and take a balanced view on the discussion, we as a country are moving into an even bigger energy crisis, when the " new normal " winter fuel bills start to arrive the eco warriors won't blame themselves for their over reactive protestations causing the crisis, they'll blame every one else as usual.....I agree that there is a need for change but it takes time and money, and who is footing the bill......the consumers........us.
Justbe honest,( for once ), I read the article this morning and have just read it again, , it states that most of the quakes are so minor a human can't even feel them, and ZYX098 stated that in the UK the permitted levels wouldn't even be fealt.
And he also stated that certain company's in the US were disposing of much more water than their permits allowed, so no ZYX098's post was nothing like the article, it was an explanation of how things really are, and he also stated the UK hasn't really tested the concept of fracking because of the low levels permitted due to eco warriors complaints.......so your reply to me made no sense at all.
Apart from proving what you are.
Penguin, yes you posted your negative opinion of UKOG's assessment of the situation, " perhaps that reflects UKOG's opinion of the seismic interpretation - not worth having? Once again your opinion, not UKOG's.......but posted to look like it is.
You seem to think that you're good at it ........you're not.......anyone can see it's just naysayer spin, as always.
NAYSAYERS ALWAYS ACTIVE
Penguin, i paraphrased because i don't cut and paste like you, so the reason was to save time, and re-reading the dec RNS i think you will find that UKOG were meaning they were standing by their original decision to drill before seismic,(obviously to save face), please note the full stop.
Then they went on to say they were agreeing to it for harmony purposes, obviously again to save face......they seem to be like you in not admitting their errors of judgment
Penguin, as we all know, ( especially with UKOG ) circumstances change, as stated in the two RNS's .....decisions will be made after the seismic interpretation(paraphrased), as you say " you can't twist that "
Penguin, certainly my dear, please read the last two RNS's dated the 1st and 7th of feb 2022, which supersedes the historical ones that you allude to, to suit your negative agenda, clearly stating " after seismic interpretation "
Penguin, " most telling ", it clearly states in the RNS that drilling of B35 will commence after the seismic has been interpreted.....more of your " twisted facts ".designed to confuse.......as usual.
