Only difference being that crypto isn’t like any other asset class, it requires sustained interest to maintain its valve so any negatively has a disproportionate effect, as the reverse has also shown recently. Basically it requires high maintenance unlike Gold which you can just leave alone ! Remove volatility and all should be ok.

They clearly believe they have robust procedures in place, plus any modification now would suggest past weaknesses....that’s unlikely to happen in PD. Unfortunately we’re witnessed how devious the Chinese can be in working out how best to satisfy various testing regimes. Let’s not forget IVD is a huge business in China , employing tens of thousands and supported by healthy tax initiatives. The UK were always going to be outplayed even without China having a head start. Suspect AS realised that some time ago hence his focus elsewhere. Patience still needed here.

Leash. You pose an interesting question regarding an Employer’s responsibility, certainly whilst the WHO maintain this as a Global Pandemic. Can imagine many employees being very uncomfortable having to work side by side with colleagues whose infectious status is unknown and whilst it may prove difficult / near impossible , to establish exactly where one contracted COVID those Employers not providing Testing may find themselves having to defend their non actions. As a first step I’d certainly check that my Employer’s Liability Insurer hasn’t suddenly introduced a COVID protocol !

OPEC’s membership distrust of each other, highlighted all those years ago when they needed to find a neutral Country for their Headquarters ie Austria / Vienna, just reinforces the point that you need to keep your enemies even closer, so I expect fear will likely hold this cabal together . A stray UAE will be heavily lent on !

Opec will remain polite but not interested in what the US say. Cartels are there to serve one purpose, the interests of its members. Only concern of late is OPEC’s ability to hold all members together and get some degree of compliance especially if the UAE are now seen to be pushing their quota. Irrespective demand is only going one way, so I discount these short term movements.

Surprised anyone’s expecting the Company to update the Mkt on LFT orders. Investors aren’t and never will be a Company’s prime focus unless Equity is required which isn’t the case here. Shareholders come and go, we’re not important. You either believe in the Company’s future or not. Bleating for news will fall on deaf ears until a material event occurs. At least we are shaking off much of the short term interest, so future SP volatility will hopefully calm down.

Let’s not forget that a US$100m NPV was placed on the GE deal back in Feb. Check the Prospectus now and it’s been revised to $170m NPV !!..... at some stage the Mkt will cotton on .

Well it’s a thought Stupmy, but personally feel more fundamental issues are at play here. Yes a few PI’s will no doubt take advantage of a quick small profit but many here have 7 figure holdings who won’t be that concerned. Our short term driver remains Brent, so let’s hope OPEC don’t waste this opportunity, unlike yesterday when they could have come to a decision had they not first spent a couple of hours waffling on about an Iranian Retiree and then listening to a Nigerian history lesson !

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi oil minister and OPEC + Chair, is clearly a cautious man. Has recently warned that the pandemic impact is not yet over and that unleashing too much oil could wash away the gains of the last year. This quote 1st June, I liked “I take my guidance from what I see today, I am not taking any guidance from a projection.”
He carries much influence hence I’m inclined to believe we’ll only see a modest increase in supply following Thursdays meeting.....500,00 daily barrels would be my guess, which should underpin Brent nicely.
