Frankly in these days of global connectivity the excuse of “ geopolitical circumstances, the annual audit is running behind schedule” is wearing a bit thin. With pre-planning plus 8 weeks after YE before hostilities even kicked off, they should have been well on top of events by then. They’re not exactly Glencore ( who took 12 weeks to release their Annual Report ) . Not impressed if this is an insight into how they run the Company !

Personally hoping for further SP weakness next week having just transferred funds across to take advantage of this weakness . Sounds like the AGM acted like an anti-depressant !

Well we know where it’s come from ( 500p Sept ‘20 ) but who know’s where from here. MM doesn’t help himself and Accounts don’t tell all eg. how much Rev. is organic / or bought , but once sentiment gets shot vultures appear. I’m on the sidelines as see further weakness if the DOW drags us all down further.

Not sure this is the time to buy with inflation yet to let rip and a BOE powerless to fight global headwinds. Bear Markets generally last a few years but no worries as Management will still do OK, as unlike Shareholders they remain to get paid handsomely ! Overall that seems a situation difficult to support. Still it ain’t my money so GL.

It’s the downside of BB’s as all can see the most popular Retail Stocks and thus generates a following, with many believing the masses can’t be wrong. Unfortunately you’ll never protect the uniformed but that’s what helps make a Marketplace !

Easy to be cynical with EUA and whilst I’m sure the new INED can provide wise counsel ( if required ) , he’s also a cheap option for injecting some positivity whilst plans seem continuously to slip. Anyway if this stagnation persists suspect most will have moved on within the next 3 months, coupled with deteriorating global events, so not long to go and as a mining Co. they need to dig themselves out of this hole , pretty quickly !

Only applies to sale of new vehicles and given 25% of gas guzzling US vehicles are over 16 yrs old with an overall average age of 12 yrs ( similar to Europe ) and growing , as inflation bites…there likely won’t be an appreciable decline in the ICE until at least 2050 when few will be able to pay for it anyway !

Thks. My comment was slightly ‘tongue in cheek’ but I detect a growing level of frustration by shareholders from what seems at times an overt level of secrecy in proceedings .

Anyone going to the AGM may like to ask a simple question “what price is currently being sought for the Assets on Sale” For shareholders that figure is rather important even a rough ball park figure would do, not that I suspect you’ll get very far but it will at least put the Chairman on the spot until he waffles on about ‘sensitive privileged information’ !

Strange how most Companies manage to issue YE Accounts easily within months of deadline. For EUA it always seems their YE comes as a surprise to them …last year they released 4th June !

Sunak pinched an idea that he knew would be extremely popular with the electorate, by gifting them cash away from those who most think are cashing in on these high Oil prices. For that alone he’s bought himself time. We just need to ‘suck it up’, literally !

Well I suspect the Chairman isn’t that bothered these days given his age, noting his decision to retire from that other Listed Co. that’s not exactly gone anywhere in his many years at the helm, where previous announcements in asset sales / acquisitions / strategy, all have a familiar ring to them !

All as expected and merely reinforced an earlier view, so happy to have place funds elsewhere.
