I suppose it depends on what happens to house prices which nobody knows. Barclays expect house prices to rise, Lloyds and Nat West expect major contractions.

I wouldn't touch banks in the current climate. They have fallen 80% over the last 15 years. Falling GDP, rising inflation, house prices expected to fall, none of it good news for banks. Despite all this analysts remain bullish, with the exception of HSBC.

Life's too short, get over it and move on. Remember life's unfair but just by being born in the developed world you've won the lottery of life.

I'm up over 100% with NCYT and SNG so more than happy but they are pure gambles on what happens with COVID, which nobody knows.

NOVACYT already up 5,000%, you may be a bit late on that one. Having said that the same could have been said a few months ago when I had a small gamble and doubled my money.

EAT, I agree I am down 90%. However it is only a small part of my portfolio so it's no big deal. I am just bemused that people continue to invest in it. I would like to be positive about CPI but unfortunately I cannot find anything to be positive about.
Personally I don't follow anybody's opinion on these BBs and anybody who does probably deserves what they get.

Having said that the only investing strategy that has stood the test of time is momentum, which I suppose is a form of technical analysis. Unfortunately CPI is showing negative momentum whichever way you look at it.

Well done. I think I read somewhere that over the last 20 years you would have trebled your money if you were fully invested but if you missed out on the best 20 days you would have lost money.

If all you dreamers had listened to Bert rather than the fantasies about takeovers and nonsense about bear channels and purple lines then you would be better off financially.
