If they were successful, and no one can be sure, the Ukrainians wouldn’t have been using ancient Soviet weapons.
I admit to not knowing much about this, but if they have counter measures, the US would be quite keen to try them out in real conditions, so not as ludicrous as you suggest
That’s the problem here, there are those who can’t make their point reasonably
Good one Mogger - now it's Latics and DL/Godders turn to mock this new job opportunity as just a mirage and distraction from their real story that this whole business is just a scam perpetrated by Sam.
They do this even though they claim to hold RKH shares and they're only posting what they do to save others from a similar disaster that they have suffered.
If true, you have to admire their astonishing altruism.
In that case DL, why not post this 10 times/day, every day:
"The sun rises in the east in the morning and sets in the west in the evening". The same could be said about that, but it's hardly illuminating (except for the sunshine) for those having to read it over and over again.
You don't seem to get that you've posted your piece, we've heard it and now we don't need to hear it any more.
Go and say it to the cat, or better still, buy a parrot and say it to that - eventually the parrot will have learnt to say it all for you and you can sit back and relax.
Whatever you decide to do, please give us all a break, because repeating it all the time doesn't make your message any better you know.
Don't have any problem with the truth, but like I said, I came here for something interesting, not the same old guff.
If you were to do the same down the pub, there'd be plenty who'd tell you to stop being such a bore and play another record.
That's all.
"First oil is expected at the end of the year 2026"
That's about as good as anyone could have hoped, but I think it also hints at the likelihood of slippage into 2027, which would still be quite an achievement.
Regarding Sam, agreed about not being able, or allowed to give financial advice about warrants, but he could still say something positive about progress. I suppose he has had to wait until Navitas had made their announcement, but now what's to stop him?
I had always wondered about the warrants expiring on 31/12/23 and had assumed that when their expiry date was decided, it was expected that before 31/12/23, Navitas would have made a positive progress report about SL.
Today's report is probably all Navitas are going to say before the warrants expire, which I think is positive enough, for the time being.
Good explanation 99icecream.
AlmaCogan, I think that's the problem - we have some posters who don't really understand how things work in any detail (e.g. the warrants, SL project management issues, etc., etc.), but are getting impatient and have nothing better to do than vent their impatience / worry / anger / etc. by posting endless rubbish here.
Every so often, they give themselves away by posting something completely ludicrous.
"Its just talk bigged up by tabloid press"
Possibly, but I think it's more a case of Milei making sure he'd covered all electorate bases to ensure that as many as possible voted for him.
To have omitted the "Las Malvinas" cry, he stood to lose quite a few votes, even if other matters are more pressing right now.
Absolutely - Milei has only got 4 years before they try someone else. He'll be electioneering before he's done anything worthwhile.
Argentina try-on new presidents the way the Mrs tries new shoes (although I wish she would wait 4 years, instead of 4 weeks).
DL, it must be a nice feeling to be the only one on the planet never to have made a mistake, so can sit in smug judgement over us all.
Hang on - isn't that God? Oh yes, so that's why you also call yourself Godders?
Not sure how one is supposed to address God. Would 'Your Magnificentness' do, Your Magnificence?
No, that's also incorrect - you seem to have an unhealthy intent to malign Sam.
Sam may not be perfect, but he deserves respect for what he has achieved against the strongest of head winds.
Rockhopper was created by Richard Visick, Sam Moody and Pierre Jungels as chairman (who was the only one with any oil industry experience).
It was not a case that "Sam took on board directors that he couldn’t control". In fact, it looks to me that Sam DID take control by replacing Jungels.
Whatever the precise actions, Sam has managed to keep the company afloat, despite exceptional odds, so maybe cut the guy a bit of slack and acknowledge what has been achieved.
