Sooner or later the market will cotton on that this is a US onshore oil explorer/producer and that Trump and his team will be extremely accomodative to help Zephyr flourish. I've no doubt it will become a momentum play once the general gloom over UK small caps/AIM starts to lift.

As long as traders and charts exist, technical trading will always exist papa. Even more so in small caps due to the outsized moves possible on thin liquidity. You don't understand the game.

Looks more technical to me - someone decided there was a decent base forming around 3p and went in with reasonable size which broke the downward trendline so probably some other traders jumping on the move and some shorts closing.

Spike I was making a comment about market positioning rather than an opinion of the business case. It is market positioning and liquidity that drives the share price.

Yes the way this has traded with an immediate wash out of the day traders it will likely make its 'real' move later in the day.

No one who has actually 'set to sell at the bell' would publicise this whilst the market is closed and they still have a position. Hoping your short isn't squeezed is the translation.

You have failed to anticipate investors reaction by not selling when the SP was higher.

Technically it closed above its 50 day moving average yesterday for the first time in six months which is bullish.

The main thing putting a break on the sp is that we're in the depths of a bear market for small cap/aim stocks. Almost universally rallies are being sold off. There's also a lot of nervousness around the budget and tax implications so liquidity has completely dried up. Sentiment is at its lowest for many years. When it (eventually) changes investing will look a lot easier again and we'll think we're geniuses.

A good update this week. If technical analysis counts for anything it closed yesterday on the weekly above the two lowest weekly candles which is a good sign for further gains.

Not a pleasant topic but the escalating war in the middle east has caused wti to rise to a major resistance area. Pretty bullish if it clears $72.

For me it's more likely just that the investment case has changed in three years and he doesn't fancy what is now a binary punt given the size of his holding and the impossibility of exiting if it's a duster.

Agree it wouldn't have been a sudden decision but he was clearly waiting for the interims before pulling the trigger.

Obviously a personal decision made on the basis of the interims released yesterday, the investment case has changed a lot since he was loading up in 2021. I don't believe he will be 'inside' on anything regarding Selene, yesterday's comments from GS describing it as 'high impact' suggests results are still unknown.
