Oil price With a skip and a jump the oil price is almost back to pre-brexit levels, this is mainly down to better inventory stats this week where both organisations saw a draw of around 4m barrels. In the background there are a number of machinations but the rise in refinery utilisation to 93% ahead of the Independence Day celebrations is probably key. Elsewhere a fall in imports helped as did US production falling by 55/- b/d and Iraq output down by 60/- b/d last month. With the Norwegian strike still imminent pressure is on the upside.

Mr Magic, at last something you and I agree on - I expect a consolidation (if you've followed I have always said that is appropriate for NCT at this juncture) but only with the support of major news.......Andrew Bell's explanation was extraordinarily hilarious.....god help RRR shareholders...hope you got out without too much pain.... of course I know your response....consolidation only means more scope for placings......hold that for moment and see if anything materialises, then we can have a serious debate....

as it stands the accounts are not late.......I expect to see them posted up later. As I said the most important data for shareholders is what is happening right now : )

The company's year end is 31st December - the annual accounts for year ended 31/12/2015 are due to be filed at Companies House within 6 months of the year end. That 6 months expires today. (although the penalties for late submission are not particularly onerous - i.e. one month late gets a £750 fine). Probably see them later today. Anybody invested in Northcote will know that the accounts will not be pretty - little revenues large outgoings....the most important aspect today is what is happening in the next 6-12 months....I expect, like MXO, there will be a "forward looking" message.....let's see where they're heading on a number of fronts...

MXO have posted their accounts - quick look couldn't see NCT.....probably late RNS today as deadline..

Oil price I should change that header bar to oil and natural gas price as at the moment the yellow jersey is being worn by the latter. I have been told a number of times in recent months by people who really do know these things that US natural gas is the place to be right now and hope that I have passed that on. The future is over 3 bucks now and if my panel at the Oil & Gas Council last week are to be believed then it has got $5 written all over it. Think of Pantheon with all its associated gas and other to whom gas is a meaningful part of the equation. Meanwhile, back in oil land, risk came back on as the dollar weakened and threats of Fed tightening receded again with more outages from Norway possible due to the impending strike and of course Venezuela disappearing in a hand basket. Finally the API stats which come out after the close, showed a draw of 4m barrels, against the whisper of 2.4m b’s.

Agreed. In addition to any new contracts, there were other contracts from 2015 for around $900K (as RNS'd at the time) which were put on hold while they stalled the plant build - the recent RNS said that those contracts can now be performed. One point new investors might not be aware of is that Northcote is entitled to recover the $1M plant development costs of Mayan + interest from free cashflow generated from the plant before the JV see anything. So that will be nice cash inflow, jam today, well in 3 weeks time then.

If you're invested why not talk to the BoD? It helps understand what's going on. He can be quite receptive, give it a try and report back, lol As far as the annual accounts are concerned, if you have done your research you will understand why they won't be pretty. One clue - collapse of the oil market in then period - many AIM oilers and non AIM oilers alike had a horrendous time, many have gone bankrupt. Hmmn....yes?
