Indeed. bigtimber made some very good points yesterday about why PEMEX want to do business with the Mayan JV; not least it is the first eco plant of it's kind meeting the new standard; no doubt Pemex also want to be seen doing the "right thing" now that foreign investors are allowed into MX Energy; as he said yesterdays news is just the start - a ripple - the Mayan plant will be settling the standard the government have stipulated - PEMEX are the first, others will follow imo Agree, PEMEX by itself will more than be able to utilise the entire plant capacity - expansion plans will not be far away as the energy sector gets going imo

Am expecting an update on LM14 and other gaseous zones; with gas prices on the up the new strategy is very well timed. The model for SC gas makes very good profits at $2 (I know because I asked) - so prices already 30% higher than that now and forecasting over $3. Gas gas and more gas, they know exactly where it is - this isn't about expensive drilling, low cost Workovers and tie ins. Reuters Futures prices are already anticipating a tighter supply-demand-stocks balance at the end of next winter. Futures prices for gas delivered in March 2017 have risen 31 percent from $2.50 to $3.28 per million British thermal units (tmsnrt.rs/29thaDE). http://reut.rs/29OqcZN

Blingybird - how very true - I have him filtered, life too short - RRR has a lot to answer for. Very sad. I am all for reasoned debate but I suspect he won't change his stance that's why he's filtered. Wonder whether he'll be still be here when NCT is on track for big time change - no doubt he'll be continuing his negativity. Your post this morning was spot on - many will be looking at NCT, seeing what is unfolding now as a steal, that is what AIM is very much about.....low cost positioning for serious returns. That is precisely how I made a lot of money on AIM. We will do very well imo

ha ha the early blingybird catches the worm, that was his informed point and the position he has taken : ) (of course there are other which prefer to wait............each to their own...you pay your money, etc etc All I would say from experience is that AIM can be very volatile, this time I sincerely believe NCT is on the cusp.....imo of course)

He said he expects the Shoats Creek cheques to get bigger now that have optimised the pump issues. Update soon on that and maybe another low cost workover....... AB mentioned the operator new to the SC business (not sure about that) but also getting the right operational personnel in place...there lies the clue imo; my guess is that the main guy making all the difference right now at Shoats Creek is Stephen Brock - very recently been appointed as the Vice President of SCDI, the SC operator....his CV I posted up shows workovers are his speciality, makes perfect sense, .mo

RNS today: "The LOI sets out the basis under which MDF will provide PEMEX with the following services: Remediate and restore dams, grounds and polluted water bodies which have been contaminated by oil related activities, and Manage urban solid waste and hazardous residuals generated by the active installations on oil fields belonging to PEMEX." Todays news fits in well with the link bigt just posted re CONAGUA 2016 projects, re dam works etc Note these are 2016 projects : )

very interesting comment re Geo Estratos BT - that was MXO Partner before they fell out...full circle then....(RC did put MXO together with Geo, so maybe not so surprising) Gaia Ecologica S.A. DE C.V. is of course our local MX JV partner at Mayan, they must be making an impression with PEMEX; they certainly have the sector experience looking at their website: http://www.ecologica.mx/en/about-us/ Starting to understand now why many think NCT will be changing it's name - something with a Mexican/Mayan flavour perhaps would make sense? bigtimber, good info; since you mention CONAGUA, worth noting: 20/4/2016 RNS :Key water handling and treatment permit obtained in February 2016 by the CONAGUA (National Commission of Water) necessary for commissioning the plant will also allow MDF to move forward with service contracts previously announced in 2015." So that work was put on hold pending necessary licences, etc - those contracts above were stated as being worth circa $900K; NCT said 3 months ago the contracts are still live and they must be priority now since gaining the licences. I also do not believe that contract was with Pemex, as we would have heard at the time. Note they stated then that it was a contract not LOI. Near term jam then.

labratt - reallyl?! "Pemex is currently the only meaningful company in Mexico" Think oil services, think again. This LOI is a huge accolade for the JV. This is all about setting the standards going forward. Pemex is obviously the main player but if you think that "Pemex is the only meaningful company in Mexico....."
