I didn't pay too much attention to this company: https://teesbusiness.co.uk/2020/08/18/teesside-secures-first-plant-for-alternative-fuel-project/ when I was researching N&P's subcoal manufacturing plant but having found my way back to this page whilst researching, it has now thrown up some thoughts I hadn't, well, thought of at first read. This Waste Knot Plant will "produce Waste Knot’s Green Knot branded pellets using non-recyclable waste – otherwise destined for landfill or for another country’s waste facilities. The high-calorific value of the pellets makes them a reliable, low-emission bulk alternative to coal and pet-coke for energy-intensive industries – such as cement and steel." Additionally, they also plant to manufacture "in excess of 240,000 tonnes of fuel pellets each year, which will be transported within the UK by rail or exported by ship." For obvious reasons, my main thought process is that this is a plant on the relative door step of N&Ps subcoal plant, but manufacturing more that twice the amount of their version of fuel pellets? OHS

G-Man11 - I cant speak for everyone but my issue isn't with the 'challenge' as you call it, although I have found it a tad frustrating when the NRW updates are a continued request for additional info. I sold simply due to the request for more time to make a decision and also that they still require so much more info from SAE. I believed that this would lead to a drop in share price as PIs (and perhaps some Institutions) would sell up (Like I did) and move on to other stocks. As I said on Friday, I am now just waiting to buy back in when I think the price is right for me and I'll gauge that over the coming days/weeks once I feel this has settled, see what volume is like and any responses from SAE if they come. RNS 29th May:

Uskmouth Conversion Pre-Application Consultation

“These documents will be available for review and comment by the public for 28 days from 1 June 2020 to 29 June 2020. Following completion of the PAC, the PAC report will be submitted alongside the full planning application to the local authority, Newport City Council ("NCC") for determination. The statutory timescale for EIA planning application determination is 16 weeks and therefore the Company expects that NCC would have concluded the determination of the planning application by Q4 2020.” - technically 31/12/20 is still Q4 so is it really a delay? I guess so as that is a ‘guesstimated‘ earliest by NRW so unlikely to be achieved?

RNS 16th July:

“The EPC contract negotiations are now expected to conclude in early Q1 2021 with an announcement of the successful bidder and/or consortium shortly thereafter. The terms and conditions of the EPC contract will determine the final structure of the project finance package. Financial close is therefore expected to occur in late Q1 2021 or early Q2 2021.“

I fully expect an RNS Monday morning and would be very surprised if we didn’t (can I still say ‘we’?). Surely that would be the correct way to inform the market? It’s not a rumour that there will now be a delay in the permit variation (if granted), it’s out there in the public domain. I’m going to see if I can find something that actually stated when the permit was due - it could be that a market update isn’t required as no date was set, which would make sense as realistically, how can you put a date in this - it takes as long as it takes.....

I think it’s been held up to lesson the mad panic selling on a Friday. There have been 2 price monitoring RNS at close so I’ll be interested to see how this opens and plays out next week. I have funds at the ready....

They've been requesting additional info for months! They've requested so much extra info they now need to extend the DFAFT decision period until the 31st Dec! It then has to go to public consultation for a 6-9 week period before FINAL decision is made. No doom and gloom as you say, more a disappointment in the delay

SP has held up pretty well considering its likely to be 90+ days before a decision a the earliest? Perhaps this delay was inevitable and already in discussion, hence the hovering lows of circa 22p we saw earlier in the week?

I must admit that thought also crossed my mind! (insert grimacing emoji face here). I doubt I'll be posting on any other boards as I'm only interested in SAE mate. If I do happen to come across something though, I'll be sure to make you aware here and perhaps share some research before making a decision. OHS

Mate I'm glad you saw it! I was hoping you had, I saw the regulars on here had all posted after (BM2, Phyl, BDD and dryland etc....) but you hadn't! Time will tell if it was the right move but I had to de-risk on the back of how I read it and am now purely waiting on a re-entry price (tbc)! Like I have said all along - fundamentals remain unchanged - this is purely a delay that may push the price down further. All imo of course. Hope to maintain our chat on here though. OHS

Do you think this will warrant an RNS?

UPS would/will be transformational to the coal burning power station industry on a global scale! UPS is the catalyst for this to occur and the global benefits are mind blowing! I'm obviously no expert, merely a PI trying to make money by investing using my research and sound judgement, but come on!!, RDF and SRF pellets are used elsewhere, incinerators burn literally anything and all SAE want to do is convert an existing power station to burn another type of pellet!

BM2 - I didn't like any of it. Suffice to say, I think I now know which side of the fence certain parties wish the decision to fall

dryland - agreed, look what happened here in the month of no news just recently - we touched 22p! It's such a shame this decision is taking so damn long! It's an absolute travesty and it is unjustifiably affecting the SP but that's AIM for you like you say. OHS

BDD - This is the only stock I want to be in so I will continue to watch, research and keep abreast of what is happening. I will most certainly make it known when I buy back in here - but whether that's the right time is anyone's guess...... hindsight and all that!

Its a gamble BDD. Like I said - nothing has changed for me with regard to all the research I have done and my expectations of UPS and the significant value that will be gained from this level in the long term. However, for now, I believe I will get an opportunity to increase my holding and that is the sole reason I sold. Not to go elsewhere and buy a different stock. My money will now sit and wait to buy back in here if it drops.

Update on NRW - They have requested more time to make a decision regarding the permit - New requested date of 31/12/2020!

I'll still be here on a daily basis as I imagine this will drop after this news gets out and the fundamentals of why I invested here are still there, I just feel I may now get a chance to get more shares for my money. If I'm wrong, so be it. GL all. OHS
