PFC Muddle through...29 Jul 2024 17:10
Petrofac may be able to muddle through this swamp they've created and onto new pastures... There's still a chance. A little bit of hope.
The new agreement is promising however the bonds still need repayed. The threat of D4E is still real, but currently that's all it is, a threat.
If a futher extension is provided after this one, there may be light at the end of the tunnel, as this would bring us to the end of Q3 and the proposed disposal of non-core assets.
The two remaining legacy contracts that are to continue after 2024 do pose an unknown, it would be good to get an update on the Thai Oils contract negotiations as a minimum in near term. Perhaps once the 2 remaining legacy contracts are resolved this could pave the way for take over offer.
PFC is still on its knees, shorts are still here, however there is still a small chance things could work out... some shorts have started to de-risk. Not the squeeze I had thought last year, but they haven't won yet. I may dip my toes in this one once again... it would make for a great comeback.
Time is at play here once again. IMO.
