I have learned the hard way never to get too far ahead. Nothing is gained or lost until the share is sold and the money in your pocket. Today is a great day but I for 1 plan to hold as I don't believe that this is near the top yet. So I will wait to celebrate until the day that I do Sell.

Can this share go above 30P or has the price already been agreed or simply the higher the share price goes the more the buying party will have to pay
IAG is way less than 50% of what it was in Jan (7.80) and now at 1.77 so still only at 25% does that not mean better profit to be made? I know that RR now has all finance sorted where AIG may have to dip toe again dilute share etc? Is that why people would favor RR over IAG?
I know this is a RR page but just wondering if I had a few quid who should I invest
That would be a very quick vaccine. I really doubt that time frame is correct, think it will be more like 12 to 18 months . It is simple what goes up must come down and it will inevitably go back up again, it is always about picking the sweet spot.

The move will bring the group's non-performing loan ratio down below the European Central Bank target of 5%, making it the only Irish bank to achieve the target so far.
"Our NPE reduction strategies will continue to be kept under review in response to the associated and evolving regulatory framework," it said.
It will also cause the group’s capital ratio to rise slightly, but at the same time reduce its net interest income by €3 million a year.
Anyone any idea why we have seen a jump today
Have not seen anything in my Goodbody account yet...
I thought this would have had more of an impact but maybe already baked in. https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2018/0426/957450-bank-of-ireland-service-centres/

If the US Sneezes everyone else gets the man flu. The thing about Man Flu is it only lasts a short time and then we ride again. I think come next week this share will rise all the way to the results and then who knows... But people lets be optimistic too much doom and gloom out there. It could be worse we all could have invested in Bitcoin 4 or 5 Months ago. GLA
Tracker issue not going away but good to see some straight talking. Will be interesting to see the impact in the morning. https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2018/0130/937048-bank-of-committee-meeting/
If it is all so predictable why do you not bail-in on the act. Just saying
Agree I would not be waiting for any announcement. This share has been undervalued for some time and for whatever reason (Probably some of what Observe has said) has stopped. It is just week 1 of 2018 let's not get too carried away either way. Like I said I would be very surprised if there is a buyout, having said that nothing surprises me with this share. GLA
I would not have your hopes too high. Last June the bank said that they were setting aside 70M for a Modest dividend. I would be surprised if it was much more than this although it would be a pleasant surprise
See that Francesca McDonagh BKIR CEO just purchased 2000 shares
Just comparing the results of BIR and AIB. AIB have almost double the operating income so easy to understand the difference in SP. Still good results and great news on the dividend.
When is the share consolidation likely to happen?
