I can assure that I am a member of "the group" and I have indeed Wobble provided evidence of my holdings. Trading had the good grace to write to me welcoming me and explaining that he still reserved the right to disagree with me. That's how it should be ie civilised . I spent a lot of my life as a auditor and I am afraid it comes naturally to me to point out faults and weaknesses. I apply religiously that rationale to my investments whether some posters like it or not
Every debate should contain searching questions . If things are right then they don't need changing. It is however by addressing the things that are wrong that makes the greatest contribution to the success of any company
Fair enough but I am just sharing an angle that perhaps nobody has considered. Nevertheless this could be something which is so significant that a no comment hardly seems adequate.
Trading, Just a thought . Did you get any indication as to who the non paying licensee was and the reasons for it. I am just wondering whether there is any possible connection with the fact that recently Maxwell made some sort of representation about the AVX licence agreement details. I just wonder if you gained the impression that there might be some sort of dispute between the licensee and CPX. Or was it explained as being nothing to worry about. Your perceptions were ??
It so obvious that you are not prepared to put your money where you mouth is. The bottom line is I see you as overly optimistic whereas I openly admit I am pessimistic
Wobble You forgot to mention the now almost annual placings and a large decrease in licence fee revenue. What are odds on the Maxwell case does not run as predicted? There is always something with CPX. I remember a few years ago when they suddenly announced a 3 month old supply issue . We have invested heavily in increasing sales . Let's hope you optimism is well founded.
OK Wobble put your money where you mouth is ? I own nearly 1.5m . Put up or shut up. How about £100 ?
Well Trading whats your honest assessment of the situation ? Are they on the ball business wise or are they a bit too cavalier with our money? Would you buy a used car from them?
Absolutely Perky. I do however wish people would concentrate on their own opinion rather than others, To me business is quite simple ie you make a product , that people want to buy at an agreed price. Are CPX doing that yet?. The IP side is obviously more complicated but is it paying so far? Add to this international complications and you have to make a judgement as to whether the Board is demonstrating that they are up to it . To me the jury is still out. Time will tell
Wobble you just don't get it do you. I don't need to explain to you why I am invested in CPX as its my money and nothing to do with you. But just like you I am entitled to an opinion . I would also suggest that after 15 years of consecutive losses my view tends to be backed by some evidence whereas your optimistic view is quite simply just speculation. But I do hope I am wrong.
Down to 5.6p Wobble . Please explain
As I have often said there is "always something" with CPX which explains away why things haven't happened. This time for me its the non payment of licence fees. We need to know more details. As regards the expected increase in SP who knows but as they say its the market that decides that . Oh well its only money
I agree Trading is unimportant. It is just that he is leading an effort to try and pin down CPX to actually communicate with nits shareholders and for that alone he is worthy of a mention
Seeing you insist 3.14 exact figure is 1485385 which suggests I may have bought some more lately . Happy ?
Mer Rome was built in what is it now 15 years. Wobble check with trading I am in for 1.5 million. To me CPX was and is a gamble which as yet has not paid off. Fortunately for me at my age money isn't that important
Agreed and therefore our products should be bought instead but that isn't really happening yet. And incidentally I don't agree that the SP is really effected by what is said on any board . The market decides and there are many influencers in that cess pit. Still my recent stint as a Parish Councillor lasted two weeks . Now that is a real cess pit. Life isn't easy or fair and CPX is but a sideshow
Mer 400 As were of course Ioxus and look how that turned out. This to me is another "stick with us its all coming good " statement . I look forward to the actual " we've made it" statement. Without the tax rebate we would have gone long ago . And just in case nobody knows I remain invested because its my money . Simples
PCO1 what does the licensee bit mean. Was revenue less than expected or did they fail to pay what was due?. If so does that mean we have to go after them legally? A question for TD perhaps. Our IP is certainly no pot of gold
Lets be clear lads , just because one is invested it does not mean you have to be full of the joys spring. Just try being a Bristol City fan with no home win for 15 matches
Thats absolutely right Mer 400 but history tells us that there is always something which is revealed to explain away why something that should have happened, doesn't. Lets hope this time that there are no excuses and its all good news. Of course it would the icing o the cake if Trading Dutchman is appointed as a "special advisor"
