The board vote tomorrow on dividend cut. Breaking a pledge not to is never received well. Bt voted not to cut their dividend last week, and the sp has still fallen 6%. The fact is 4g like before 5g was a ruthless auction also decimated share prices, but yesterdays technology is worthless. Just have to bite the bullet, everybody wants faster internet. The actually benefits of 5g are probably far greater than anything before, enabling driverless cars, remote surgery ops. Helping all the new tech to deliver. Quite staggering. God knows how companies plan for this when they can only guess at the cost. Obviously the consumer pays in the end but companies are limited to what they can charge while the governments hold crazy freeform all auctions. Just like last time with Gordon Brown rubbing his hands in glee and rebuffing pleas from the telecommunications companies. So what happens is the companies which would go bust either way in the auction bid it up which results in the obvious winners being saddled with insane debt and the customers eventually pay more for the service. Its hard to tell which are buys or sells. The published trades are not always in sequence because large trades are often reported hours after they were executed for some reason. Whether the trades are buys or sells is only a guestemet and if someone is buying someone is selling, so in terms of how it effects the sp is fairly meaningless Imo. The sp can move up when it appears to be all sells and visa versa. The columns with total buys and sells never seems to tally with the totals of published trades. Its where the sp finishes is the important bit. Gl

Laughable really if this is bull run. The ftse100 stood at just under 7000 in 2000 peak and the Dow was around 12000 I thinks. So a rise of over 200% in the USA, which is reasonable, and a rise of nearly a whopping er 4% in the uk. Quite an anomaly.

Carney has not stopped downgrading uk growth for 3 years which has not been anything like as bad as he forecast and now he has changed tack because he has been proved wrong. The uncertainty surrounding Brexit thanks to our criminally inadequate MP's has had a protracted effect on businesses, although The IAG boss has specially stated that Brexit will not effect his airlines but there are plenty of other factors. The most alarming thing to me is the high valuation of the us market and Buffet claiming it is still cheap, which would make uk stocks an absolute bargain by comparison. Amazed British Bulls is still in existence still pedalling tosh as usual. IAG is not immune from market uncertainty. Most stock with very few exceptions have been range bound for the last few weeks, not anything to do with the business particularly. Global forecasts have been downbeat and then old misery guts Carney ups forecasts and talks of likely more frequent rate rises. Has been wrong about everything since Brexit, so obviously trying a new tack! HSBA reacted strongly to results but will no doubt sink back after all the excitement (for a Bank) subsides.

The bid was £2.35, the ask £2.12 and the execution halfway @ £2.24.

Tuscon. I remember a few years back these boards were a bit busier. I took 5 years out to other commitments. Seeing what goes on on some of the other boards now I think quiet is good! Would have thought Wagamamas becoming open to shareholders might stir a bit more interest. There has been an extraordinary amount of small automated trading . I used to think it was about trade adjustments, but seems to be the norm now, so maybe thats due to more online dealing. My sons (early 20s) have started trading small amounts as have many of their friends. I saw you have a substantial holding so Gl . This is my largest holding at the moment and what drew me back to trading again on a much smaller scale and hopefully help my lads not go too mad!

Notice of results for first quarter 1st of MAY. This has held up really well after the strong rise. thought it would pull back a bit more. Don't think that is likely now in the unlikely event that results spook. The chart remains strong. A sequence of green candles indicating good momentum continuing. So yes could be on the way to brokers target for a change!

Disappearing from the high street, well the street. So even less business rates for the councils.Losses must be must be mounting up for councils. When will they realise people and business are sick of giving them money for nothing. Probably the only move left for majestic, loose the name close the shops and go online. Going to take a long time to generate the sort of cash they used to and are moving into an already crowded area. The supermarkets are already well established there, and the Wine society are probably the oldest established with the best service for quality, price, knowledge, variety, delivery . A bit like belonging to a building society but with a reason to live!

Seems to be quite a risky stock to short given it trades at nearly half the asset value alone. They rebuffed a takeover shortly after the profit collapse but I would be amazed if there were not competitors and asset strippers still looking at this. Just like BT, a huge advantage over the opposition being squandered.

After the initial shock at the RI there always seem to be a process of brokers trying to work out why they are brokers and couldn't run a company themselves. Peel Hunt are still in denial, but others who have read the plan of expansion and conversion to Wagamamas can see that this is a smart move best at a big price. You could argue that it could be the saviour of RTN. Last year was not great for either RTN or Wagamam which probably prompted the sale. The reason for that have in part been put down to unusually good summer. Sales in Wagamama have picked up dramatically. The dust had to settle on what looked like a reverse takeover. Still a lot of risk here, if we get another hot summer for instance. The roll out across the globe (around 50% expansion of Wagama alone and the closure of non performing restaurants) could be very fruitful.

Actually it was 6 consecutive green candles each with a higher high and higher low. Not a great fan of charts myself but will be interesting to see how this pans out.

£1.85 target would explain some of the move, but more interestingly is the chart which suggests a strong buy signal. four consecutive green candles backed by positive restructuring news and hopefully a good update to come. The share trades are the only concern, no large buys. I suppose most of the big money went into the RI.
