Speculate to accumulate etc. The one thing I have learned investing for the long term is utter rubbish just look at the ftse over the last 20 years and thats with the added advantage of replacing 10% of it every year. Funny enoughI bought then too on Thursday and ditched then on the bounce Friday lunchtime having decided Was going to hold for the div come what may. I read an article on oil price by Tom Kool (great name). Then I thought I think I can make more than 12% swing trading, especially if oil hits $20. Consensus is around $37 for 2020. Might be a bit optimistic with the games Saudi and Russia are scrapping. No idea where that leaves metal. If China (who are trying to cancel a contract on 4 supertankers of oil arriving) have cracked the virus and get back to work things should get going but its on a knife edge basically. Sorry to be downbeat but I think as investors we need to be cautious still even though this could be one more of those once in a lifetime opportunities I hear about every other year! GL

Reduce holding again. When they purchased Wagama it seemed more that it was bad timing for them then, but they felt they had to take the opportunity. Unfortunately it turns out the timing could not have been worse. Really bad luck. If they had not proceeded with that purchase they would probably be in just as dire a situation to be honest.

You mean the virus won't effect the anti virus company. I think AT has a point or two. Aside from that they did actually lower their target for next year and the debt that might have been paid off by the sale of Jumpshot obviously won't happen . Loss of earnings and impairment for having to buy back Jumpshot and scrap it don't add any positives either.

Octopus are pretty astute stock pickers. Often seem to go for slightly under the radar steady but sure companies like IGR too.

Seems to be a bias, rightly or wrongly, against companies who's business relies on a high turnover of strangers gathering in confined areas. IWG (global office rental) RTN (Wagama, Frankie & Bennies) have all been hit pretty hard as have oil companies, the effect of which is more obvious re drop in demand and price. Should be a good opportunity her, but there is likely to be some impact on numbers be it shot term hopefully. Fear of the unknown I suppose, but it does seem a little strange as the majority of effected people appear to recover quickly and without being too ill. It doesn't appear to be and hopefully is not more serious than any other annual flu virus as yet. Flu viruses are not normally under such scrutiny, so this much publicity and portrayal has added to concerns. Wishing everyone well goes with it saying
