But way overvalued IMO. Small caps on the other hand look ridiculously under valued. That could be the new norm. Most investors tend to be risk averse, but don’t realise there is also risk to not being invested.

hi gardenist. you are obviously a very shrewd investor. buying and tucking away for a rainy day are very good tactics!. or till the ground is too frozen to dig. like many shares there are different opinions. some would say this has had a great run and is fully valued, others will say its got plenty of potential. neither is necessarily wrong. trading update is due in a couple of weeks, which could go either way. we know markets have been soft with so much uncertainty, but there are those that buck the trend. i suspect this will be one of the latter. richard crow (****ney rebel) bon vivant and hot investor and commentator thinks a pe still under 20 for this kind of stock is still cheap. sounds like you must have made a few bob. may have been a good time to top slice last week. entirely depends on your own circumstances and other investments. markets tend to be a bit nervous around trading updates. gl although sounds like you have plenty of that already!

Spot on Bravo. Clearly client redemption is a continuing saga which is hampering the stronger companies in aim because they have better liquidity. Seems to have affected FNX more than some, which makes it particularly good value imo.

Another round of funding for BlueNalu, the blue fin Tuna company. Not sure where this leaves Anic’s own finances, or what the current warrants situation is. Guess they have all expired? 13 percent of Anic riding on this, which is already 2 years late to market. Could do with a change of fortune very soon.

This is a very unpleasant market. Makes me feel nothing is safe . Stocks being randomly hit without explanation. I thought I’d been a mug selling after buying at £1.80 and turning a quick profit, and then it tested £2 for a brief visit. Fnx has a history of doing these random falls. It did the same a couple of years back down to around £1.45. I believe I’m right in saying the CEO takes no salary, all his earnings coming in dividends for his holding. There were some concerns about its gambling connection especially in Ireland. I thought that was no longer a concern and the push into growing European operations is looking strong. Looks like another round of fund redemptions by the nervous investors who choose idiotic fund managers. Taking a closer look again as it’s been one of my more fortunate trading stocks mainly by jumping to the wrong conclusions!

Ftsefan. Material going concern statements always freak the market. The oak bloke did a really good synopsis on this with technical diagrams a few months back . Think there is a general misunderstanding about what their well heads actually do. Many observers think this is simply about capping off defunct wells being taken out of operation and that the cheaper solution is to pump tons of concrete . That is a solution for that particular scenario, but these are also used for functioning wells. I noticed the margins have dropped which may reflect the general decline in oil exploration and thus oil prices. It’s still difficult to gauge the effect of sanctions on a number of oil producing countries. They sound optimistic despite these headwinds. The last broker note reiterated 22p PT. I havnt seen if that has changed. The money raised to order new well heads for hire still appears to be on track. It’s never a comfortable position to be trying to attain sustainable profitability but the availability of a 2 million loan from the founder shows either madness or confidence. This is a great piece of engineering and apparently saved a former client hundreds of millions of dollars. Sure it’s risky. The whole industry is suffering, so no surprise. In a more stable environment they would be in high demand which is what they were expecting when they raised for more equipment. Hopefully the strong backing from founder will see them through to achieving their goals. Obviously it was a struggle to get the results signed off, but they always seem to just get there!
