Yes early-stage pharmas are by nature relatively risky, but EVG has a couple of qualities making it less so than its peers (funding model, wide range of studies backing up the properties of their main candidate) and has a significantly lower market cap than its peers.

Yes interesting timing all this isn't it. This stock can be illiquid and trades often have to be made outside the spread. I wonder if some are wanting in and are hoping to get an easier time filling their orders.

It's pretty clear to me what's been happening now, and it's nothing to do with a placing.
Some clowns decided to go in big on spreadbets on the original COVID-19 announcement back in June, and given the delay in recruitment have now got into serious trouble with margin calls and are being forced out. Finncap's role is less clear but it's not impossible they are open to 'helping' their mates over at the spreadbetting companies in screwing their foolish clients.

And despite the apparent selling, can't buy more than a pittance at this price - very annoying.

Where is this September 2021 date from for the trial results? All RNS on the subject just say 2021.
I can’t see why it would take a year to treat 300 patients, especially given its over what 10 different sites? That would be a very slow rate of treatment.

Some chunky trades going through just above the placing price - must be the placees topping up given how strongly oversubscribed it was?
