I assumed that it's spread-bet punters rather than spreadex themselves, but maybe large holders use it for tax purposes who knows.

Where are you seeing these flags/comments? Can't see them on the trades here?

I find it hard to believe placees whether IIs or PIs who bought shares in the 5.7 placing are now selling for a loss days later.
Perhaps more likely to be PIs taking profits from the 4p level and/or stale bulls from longer ago now dumping at a reduced loss?

Yes there was a 5M sell order at 2.30 on level 2 at 2PM but at close it had gone, so I suspect those buys filled it.

Just nipped in as well. Unless there's some surprise bad news this should bounce from this low of the recent sp range.

1.35M buy just gone through - another II top-up?

Any capacity for it in the processing plant though?

Given the timescales there is plenty of time for big pharmas to get on-board. I would imagine these things don't happen overnight.
