RE: Helium Land Rush13 Feb 2024 10:25
I'm glad you introduced this topic 5085
It reminds me of the Klondyke gold rush where the early pioneers found sizeable quantities of gold and then every man and his dog upped sticks to Yukon, staked out their own piece of land and then started to prospect it with the rest being history.
So how much are all the Helium 1 licences now be worth compared to their worth pre Noble finds and our own success at Itumbula. (Skittish can I just say that this land grab theory also perhaps explains why Helium 1 were secretively pursuing those other 9 licences in Tanzania)
Interesting quote from the article
"Competition in this space is heating up but the takeaway is brilliant news for junior E&P companies who have made the shift from oil and gas to helium: Major players are swooping in for deals with pre-production junior explorers …
By August, Renergen Ltd (JSE: REN) (ASX: RLT) had already inked numerous offtake deals for its pre-production helium with global gas giants and multinationals Linde, Messer, Siemens and Helium24.
The minute a junior helium company proves up a discovery, it can almost guarantee pre-sales contracts in this environment of shortage."
No surprise therefore that Noble incidentally only a few days back with their detailed results from Mbelele also advised that they were already in offtake agreement negotiations
"Discussions underway with key offtakers"
With up to 4.7% Helium and the Hydrogen I expect we will already have had no shortage of approaches.
So sit back, chill and wait for further developments to be RNS'd.
