Or he gets Nutrition or Beauty, profitable accompanied with a growth story, and he demerges and seeks a seperate listing in the US or on another exchange

It just goes to show what happens when you are off the LSE or AIM and where shorts and market makers seemingly work in cohoots. Always talking away and never giving back, despite so many sticky shares in the background. Matched bargains seeming to countenance things.

After this latest shenanigans they must be sorely tempted to take the same route with either Nutrition or Beauty.

Flash Crash, take it down some more - 30% for stock and trading volume - and then gradually lift it back up.

Buy low, sell high.

If Mr Moulding can't be bothered giving investors what they are all after (Profits, dividends, added value, cost cutting) then why invest.

Buy low in stages, sell high, rinse repeat.

Rock, here is the line in the Trading update that actually helps your point.

"THG Nutrition has delivered its fourth consecutive quarter of revenue growth, driven by the strength of the Myprotein brand and our successful offline global expansion strategy which has seen us exceed our distribution targets across retail and licencing."

Cbi, all I'm saying is that you added to the selling and the downside. You didn't cause it, you didn't need to, but in a small part you added to it by selling. Same with many others including day traders trying to catch the bottom. Same shares probably being churned over and over again.

Hopefully the markets puts the price where my next top up is pencilled in and then I can fall back into the shadows.

So 52p - 37p and a long hard look required

13th Jan 26. Results published + Presentation - SP rises to 52p. Presentation didn't seem to hit the right notes.

Flash crash downwards.

Positive sentiment turns to FUD.

But lets recall; Positive media after and of 3 Brokers. One Broker upgraded quickly after (Jefferies) from 55p to 60p. Another maintained 80p guidance and Lastly JPM Cazenove reiterated a Target Price of 55p. No Sell recommendations.

Many querying why these were awarded, after the the poor share price performance.

No real share price reaction initially - but then it falls in the days after. Possible seller?

29th Jan 26. Linkedin post by Matt Moulding. Highlighting the current state of the UK market and querying when things will be addressed.

Share price falls on the day and has fallen further today. Honest Injun - No rush of buyers either at just over 37p

So much so that this is the case.

THG Revenue. £1.716 BILLION.

Market Capitalisation: £579.49M

Applied Nutrition (APN) Revenue. £107.1 MILLION

Market Capitalisation: £582.5M

But one, THG is generating X 17 the revenue of APN. Significantly so. Virtually 6X also that on Nutrition. Sum of Parts of THG also far in excess.

Yet they are actually valued less than APN.

Then just to put things in perspective THG is actually being valued at less than the top end of the £400M to £600M speculative preliminary conditional offer that Selkirk Group made for THG Nutrition alone. Meaning THG Beauty a £1.1 Billion Revenue generator consisting of multiple businesses and Brands is effectively valued for FREE.

Not wishing to be impertinent but yes you can blame the market but seriously any company you would expect also to look inward and to have a full scrum down, thorough review, dissection and implement improvement measures if necessary. For instance: Do we need to have Analyst meetings tagged to Trading updates when others don't bother. RNS Content the same - taking lessons out of others RNS with favourable reaction. Best practice. Might less be more. (See BOO, See APN and countless others). Participants if we do - do all contribute, are they media trained or media competent? Are these Linkedin postings actually benefiting group shareholders? Virtually every time these are posted then the share price goes down. Also why no Investor Relations engagement with shareholders. Might this not help resolve issues, FUD and misinformation. Then perhaps the biggest question. Is the share price ever going to recover to meaningful value and get out of this constancy of rise and fall with the present CEO, BoD, Strategy? Does it need a reshuffling or refreshing? My thoughts only.

You've been selling the hand you held since a few days back Cbi, so part contributed to the falls.

Shame though you didn't have the gumption to sell at the 52p level and then wait to buy back in stages, then wait for the worm to turn.

You must have lost a fortune.

Have you no ides how much money it would actually take for APN to multiply Revenue by 17 fold?

How many businesses it would have to buy?

How much additional manufacturing capacity it would need?

Staffing / Premises / Marketing Spend/ Influencers ...

On any planet in the universe those market caps should be nowhere near Equal. You effectively get THG Nutrition with an extra 5 X APN's revenue for free and you can have Beauty also.

Well either somebody is dumping shares or making damn sure they are lending them out in sufficient quantity to ensure a drop in the share price. Perhaps a disgruntled II? That, and no doubt helped along the way by those setting the price and those who benefit from churning volume, for incredibly the market price setting must have this now about Absolute Parity with APN in terms of Market Cap. The difference last night was only a mere £20 million.

Absolutely astonishing really that both have similar market caps, when one (THG) generates £1.7Billion of Revenue against the others (APN) only just over £100 Million of Revenue, a difference of a Factor 17 - and THG has a Beauty division completely distinct from Nutrition and generating about £1.1 Billion revenues. Yes one might have Profit and the other not, but then again one also has £55million sat in a pending VAT refund, and the other probably hasn't.

Just read the Linkedin post from last night and sorry to say it, but it's not how to win friends and influence people. That said are you just meant to sit silent and watch whilst you're share price gets car crashed back and forward so some hedge fund or funds make £100's of millions through manipulation and by devaluing your share prices, - when the actual update actually read quite well. And was now over 2 weeks ago (13th Jan). Rightfully imo he does ask When? is something actually going to be done about this, as it's detrimental to the London Stock Exchange and AIM, with net withdrawals and no new listings.

Maybe from a shareholder perspective, and years of this, you have to ask if this is being targeted due to one or more Individuals at the top and actually in the longer term interests of shareholders is it not time to be looking at making some changes.

Shame really for it was actually starting to look and trade like a FTSE 250 company, with a relatively stable share price and tight'ish range. Never moan though at the price that's presented to you. Might go cheaper still, might go higher. Staged entry always the better strategy imvho. Each decides their own respective strategy.

Just my take on things.

Indeed you may have a point there stanleyb. Debs Trading statement is extremely thin and light on detail compared to THG's and is basically just saying should exceed guidance. I don't even think they did a webcast - Up 10%.

THG by comparison - Good update. Full of detail. In line. Webcast also. Opens up from 47p to 52p then imvho flash crash and nobbled to 41p and then once again it glaringly highlights the vast disparity and market caps between APN and THG compared to revenue generation.

Outside mission accomplished.

Arguably with Claremont Ingredients he did the reverse and sold £5's for £10's

Better focusing on the differential between APN and THG in Revenue generation and realising that THG generates about 6 X APN's Revenue and then there on top THG Beauty generates - a further - circa 10 X APN's revenue.

So for virtually 16 X APN's Revenue the market values that at only a £40M difference in market cap.

Off to achieve something on a non rainy day.

Please refer back to THG's and note that THG gave far more meat on the bones than BOO and imo CARD also.

Sparsam, you do also understand that your full hypothesis for opening a CFD short is erroneous.

In a TRADING Update or Trading Statement, there is no requirement to mention Profit or Loss or even cash position. It's a trading update. Great though if you do decide to add it in.

Shorts are going and shutting the door. This one has a point to prove with Numis.

One by one the points he will prove will shoot the price up. It’s going one way now. North. It is still massively undervalued. Easy see north of £1.20 soon

Simply unbelievable convergence in the Market Caps of APN versus THG compared to what they deliver Revenue wise. Just goes to show the difference it makes to actually make a profit accompanying growth. (I do suspect though that any slight bump down the road, headwind or dip in numbers for APN and it will fall off a cliff).

As of last night.

APN

Market Cap – £607 Million

FY25 Group Revenue - £107.1m

Operating profit £28.1M

THG

Market Cap – £638.98M

FY25 Revenue Nutrition - £607.7M (nearly x 6 that of APN)

BUT also Unfactored imo, THG also have THG Beauty.

FY25 Revenue Beauty - £1108.30M

Leading to FY25 Group Revenue - 1,716.00M ( Circa X17 that of APN)

Yes Revenue is vanity whilst profit is sanity. But profit or not, its extremely hard to argue that on any Sum of Parts basis, that THG isn't undervalued.

Equally though is that you have a supposed same market which is happy to value each with such glaring disparity.

Maybe a bit more effort and emphasis on delivery of the numbers the market takes notice of required and it might pay dividends. (Perhaps the worng choice of words on here)
