A reservation I would have would be the level of the increase on the 14th, it wasn't huge which suggest it was not based on a leak, however the fact that the increase was on the day before the decision, when I'm sure no-one on this board knew the decision was imminent does look suspicious there was clearly some sort of a tip-off.....

It was £122 million! but regardless I don't think the fine is unsurmountable if the revenue keeps going that way it seems to be, plus I doubt the final figure will be that high....

Mountainous can you recall the position of the large fine/ compo CW were set after the Regal buyout? I think it was around June time this year and was around £250 million if memory serves me correctly, this did not have a seriously adverse effect on the SP.....

Ian, given the improved audience numbers in the last Trading Update (90% of 2019 numbers reached in Oct. 21) is it conceivable that if numbers continue in that vein CW could somehow swallow the fine (with further financing of course), surely current lenders will not want to write off what CW owes at present and watch it fail, especially when/if it is turning a profit......

I would guess there are many that have averages well over £1.00, this was flying in Feb/ March before Cine actually reopened, so can understand why investors would have got in and potentially stayed in at that price. I wonder if there are any pre-pandemic investors still on board, they must have very high aves. Anyway ever the optimist, once Covid has cleared off in the Spring, and the financial updates show the positive last period, and of course a few Jangho buys would be welcomed too, it'll all look a lot rosier......

Interesting read from SkyNews citing previous protectionist manuevres from Canada, think this has a long way to play out before the final judgement is passed. Jangho are still on board.
