The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
If memory serves correctly it reached 124 when all the external factors were beginning to favour Cine, cinemas were not yet fully reopened, the slate going forward looked awesome (as it still does), Covid was receding, economies were rebounding, so I can understand why some didn't sell at that price. I'm strangely reassured by Mookys quietness, he doesn't speak for the sake of it,it's a time for cool, clear heads, I'm sure he doesn't want to compromise any future appeal by a futile statement, and he's obviously using the full length of the appeal window, which is prudent. I'd rather be long than short atm, and I think that is a point not lost on some of the desperate shorter posts of late ....GLA and HNY
That doesn't tally with my anecdotal experience, out and about a lot over the Midlands and South East and there always seem to be customers at the till. GLA.
Sorry to ask, I have looked honest, but when is the next trading update, I'm sure I read there is one in January, many thanks. GLA.
Ha decent response (thumbs up emoji).....(no its not, it was RMG)
You're on the ball, I must remember to read all your future posts.....(rolling eyes emoji)......
I don't think that is anything but a logical conclusion, it seems the judgement is finding for CP with all of the positive aspects of operating, without accounting for any of the negative aspects, of which there were many......
Merry Christmas Mountainous and all, and let's hope for a healthy, prosperous 2022.....
Tegop - there is an active trial for antivirals/pills that those with Covid can sign up to if their local HealthTrust is participating, going forward the antivirals could be delivered in the same manner as the current Lateral Flow Test kits once a positve test has been established. Links below.

Thankyou Ian, you are so measured with your posts and although you don't post that often it is always quality when you do, some of the numptys that have joined of late, could be advised to take that approach.......#qualityoverquantity
Looking like a huge, ($240million +) record breaking opening weekend for Spiderman, but yeah cinema's dead.................

Obvs the population density of London is not conducive to slowing the spread of Omi, however the vaccination uptake of the capital is not as high as other parts of the country, hopefully the pattern does not continue across the country. The BAME community need a massive propaganda drive promoted towards vaccine success and confidence. There is understandably a massive trust issue from the BAME community, and from personal experience and with the demographic of London it seems to be pretty apparent to me that this is a contributing factor in the fight against Covid......( Max. 1 week token lockdown, little or no effect on CINE)
Early signs that the booster jabs have 85% efficacy in resisting the new variant, along with the antivirals that are now available, positive news.....

What are you doing here then if you are not a short?
A reservation I would have would be the level of the increase on the 14th, it wasn't huge which suggest it was not based on a leak, however the fact that the increase was on the day before the decision, when I'm sure no-one on this board knew the decision was imminent does look suspicious there was clearly some sort of a tip-off.....
Cheers Fun, good knowledge, bet you didn't even need to look that up either did you!! :) .....
Yeah all good, been here before (Royal Mail) and will ride it out, Mooky is no mug he'll have something up his sleeve....
It was £122 million! but regardless I don't think the fine is unsurmountable if the revenue keeps going that way it seems to be, plus I doubt the final figure will be that high....
Mountainous can you recall the position of the large fine/ compo CW were set after the Regal buyout? I think it was around June time this year and was around £250 million if memory serves me correctly, this did not have a seriously adverse effect on the SP.....
Ian, given the improved audience numbers in the last Trading Update (90% of 2019 numbers reached in Oct. 21) is it conceivable that if numbers continue in that vein CW could somehow swallow the fine (with further financing of course), surely current lenders will not want to write off what CW owes at present and watch it fail, especially when/if it is turning a profit......
I would guess there are many that have averages well over £1.00, this was flying in Feb/ March before Cine actually reopened, so can understand why investors would have got in and potentially stayed in at that price. I wonder if there are any pre-pandemic investors still on board, they must have very high aves. Anyway ever the optimist, once Covid has cleared off in the Spring, and the financial updates show the positive last period, and of course a few Jangho buys would be welcomed too, it'll all look a lot rosier......
