With the markets in a very positive mood of late you'd have expected this to be flying. I'm trying to work out what would disappoint me most. Holding on the expectation of a bid only to see it collapse if nothing materialises or selling now only to see it rise if one does. A bird in the hand is still a true statement.

Being in the EU was supposed to be about trade, and trade only. Not obeying fantasy laws and regulations designed to control what people do and say. Its all about power and control with an obsession to regulate an entire population. Give me sovereignty and day. As for ITV, we're all going to be very disappointed soon is my take.

Redcain. The EU has become a dictatorship. Unelected, unaccountable, not fit for purpose. Full of corruption. Draining the life out of society. The UK voted to leave it, democratically. The undemocratic governments of this country thought otherwise and have tried every trick in the book to stay. If allowed to implement it correctly, the UK would flourish (with the right leader) - As for the NHS. Its finished, if that meant the US getting hold of it and start treating it as a business rather than a free for all it would succeed for the purpose it was designed for in the first place. You're a typical deluded socialist relic.

So what would your opinion be if the 'big player' didn't enter into the market. A drop of about 20% - 25% on the SP ? Basically on what we know so far added to the fact that McCall can't even be bothered to keep shareholders updated, its just a gamble.

If the SP gets to £2.50 I'm out.

I'd expect the SP to be going up, not down with an alleged bid on the horizon ? Seems a bit suspect that since the dames acknowledgment of an outside interest, there's not been a hint since........

Well said Tom. The world should be very grateful for Mr Donald Trump. Compare him to the likes of Starmer, Macron etc. Wish he was governing this cesspit of a country.

What effect would a peace deal with Russia/Ukraine have on the SP ? Anyone ?

Tom. People appear to advising selling BP at the moment ? Must admit I'm very close to pushing the sell button on here however. Promised myself if it hot 80p again I would.

One thing is almost certain. If this 'deal' doesn't get the green light or McCall stiches us up as usual, plus 80p would have been a very good price to get out. The opposite applies if her palm is greased and it goes ahead. Its a toss of a coin.

With the budget out of the way and relevant anticipation, maybe we'll here something in the next few days of this proposed bid ?

BE - If all goes ahead at say 1.5bn for example. What level could we expect the SP to go to ? Would it be best to sell up or remain invested ? Thanks in advance.

I'll check when the SP hits 2 quid as it depresses me otherwise.
