I've still got a satchel full of dosh Tom. Reckons its worth a go at Tesco ?
I'm standing about 150ft cleaning the "tower" windows in Rhyl like a praying mantis waiting for sub 0.70p. Its incredibly dangerous without a harness but exciting.
I hope that you're right mate. A bird in the hand though is worth..............
Well I'm armed with cash should the drop get "overdone" - I'd be happy to buy back sub 0.70 and pray.
My concern is it'll fall and won't recover. Stagnate or fall further and I'll be pretty well cheesed off in that case if I'd not sold.
Sold 50% of mine earlier. Will buy back should it drop below 70p. If not I'll chuck it someplace else.
I can see this having a last minute spurt prior to the cut off. If I time it right I'm out at 0.76/0.77.
I think Tom nailed it. We've been down this route several times. Yeah it'll probably drop come ex divi and hopefully it will then respond positively. Issue is that it doesn't recover post divi and either stagnates or continues to drop. History of the SP/divi speaks for itself.
Toms just given me an idea. Probably sell 50% today so I'll get the benefit of the divi and the chance to buy back if and when the SP drops. As I said yesterday, I'm still stuck with a serious amount way above the current SP however since the useless dame took over.
Nice assessment mate. Obviously its everyone for themselves and no blame attached whatever happens. I'm seriously thinking of selling up today/tomorrow and wait for the drop should that be the case. I'll miss the divi payment but maybe I'll recoup more if I decide to buy back.
GL.
I'm tempted to bail out of here all together. I've got a taste for that sell button after last week. Maybe I could buy back after the predicted sell off following the ex divi. Might not be a lot of money to some on here but 45000 pounds is a lot to me.
Bazza / Solley. Thanks, I'll tale a look. Can't do any worse than ITV (HOPEFULLY) !!
I took out around £15000 last week as I reached break even. Waiting to get back in after the divi cut off. Just as a matter of interest can anyone suggest another share that I could take a look at instead of ITV for a change ?
Thanks in advance.
Yeah its a tricky one. I've managed to recoup to breakeven level on my second investment and I'd be extremely annoyed with myself if I got greedy expecting more out of it only to see it drop.
I'm still heavily underwater with my initial investment however and would need a miracle to recoup those losses.
Is it sensible to sell now, miss the divi then buy back in on the drop ? Can't make my mind up. Or am I missing something ?
I know how they must feel at that price. Shocking display of leadership.
The only award she deserves is dunderhead of the year award. And for several years on the trot. What is it that they see in her ? 20 million since she took over. An absolute disgrace and utterly shameless on her behalf.
As Tom said recently - She goes and this booms.
Thanks Tom. Hopefully the slow increase will continue whilst the buybacks in place. Gods knows what happens after.
Can someone remind me what Dividend payment is please.
With no more news forecast and the likelihood of the Dame going away on holiday for six months or so, when the buybacks cease will the SP resume the familiar downturn ?
