That's an interesting perspective and one that I hadn't anticipated, however to anticipate a price drop would mean that some bad news is potentially on the way?

Dynamofc, I totally agree. He was the Chief Operations Officer who spent 2020 working from home (Germany) and completely took his eye off the ball regarding vehicles.

Teamdhl, that comment would imply that you think the workforce could have a big influence on the SP, which is certainly out of step with those who think that it's the fundamentals that are the major driving force?
You would also have to ask yourself the question that if "The City" don't trust the workforce because the workforce don't trust senior management not to renege on agreements then who is it that really has the power to influence the SP?

Teamdhl, hopefully RMG will never be the next DHL..... Or Amazon for that matter.
You are correct in that Cameron and Cable virtually gave RMG away as they didn't want to have to deal with one of the most powerful unions in the UK, however who would have invested in a company that had a massive black hole because successive UK Governments had failed to pay their share?
The union are committed to back RMG management to provide an excellent customer service and provide ethical and sustainable jobs for future generations of workers but when the workforce no longer trust their senior management team, that's where it all goes down the tubes.

Everyone makes the odd typo or grammatical error but may I suggest that you read your posts back to yourself before hitting the post button?

Mike, this forum is for investors to interact, so employees giving the heads up of a potential dispute isn't going to affect the SP one iota, however it may prompt some investors here to do their own research and draw their own conclusions based upon the posts they have read?
In the same way, I read the posts from those who follow the charts and research accordingly. I find most of the information useful but it's certainly not going to turn me into Warren Buffet.

Not saying that this will impact the SP but the CWU have this evening, issued a statement regarding their intent to confront senior management over the (alleged) issue of fixed term contracts and scheduled attendances being withdrawn for some of the staff. I'm not sure how many staff will be affected but it would be in everyone's interest (particularly shareholders) for this issue to be resolved very quickly.
Better news is that my mail centre has been exceptionally light this week and we have cleared the office every day. In over forty years, I have never know a December to go so smoothly. The Christmas casuals were retired yesterday as were the agency staff. It looks as though the public have heeded the message to post early for Christmas this year?

I posted last week that my office had failed to secure enough Christmas casual staff, especially the night shift and that we didn't appear to have enough 7½ tonne vehicles compared to previous years. Now there appears to be a panic for delivery vehicles?

onelongrunner, absolutely spot on. Okay so the customer isn't always getting the service that they paid for (with the exception of SD and Tracked) but The Regulator isn't giving RM any hassle and we are stuck in a situation that is difficult for everyone. At the end of the day, it's a win win for RM, even if we are delivering Christmas cards and presents in January.....

Having said that, our senior management team are good at talking things up and, in my opinion, fudging some the figures and this is good for the SP but you know that there will be a day of reckoning to come. Maybe not tomorrow or next week but certainly in the foreseeable future.
