Last Thursday, I received a delivery from Hermes. It was a Christmas gift for my son that you as listed as "out for delivery" on 17th of December but tracking information stopped on the 21st and become "unavailable".
The rather flustered delivery driver turned up in a battered 04 plate Ford Fiesta hatchback which was loaded to the hilt with parcels and large jiffy bags. I'm not sure how many were deliveries or collections. I'm also fairly certain that he wouldn't have had the correct insurance.
Unfortunately, this is some of the competition that we now face. Everything is done on a shoestring with little or no customer service point when things go wrong.

Uniquely, RM have many employees with more than 20 years service (The Courier lists around 50 employees celebrating 40 years service every month) and they have long memories that stretch back long before Alan Leighton.

Apologies, the colleague shares scheme was set up by Alan Leighton in 2007 with a maturity date of 2012, so it was a 5 year plan.

Scampthedog, your Amazon shares represent a decent profit since June 2016. Do you receive any dividend payments?
When RM was privatised in 2013, all eligible staff received 729 free shares in an attempt to induce a sense of worth within the company, however this didn't really cut it with most of the workforce as a previous attempt to do this called "colleague shares" failed miserably. The idea was that everyone would receive a company "share certificate" and get a share of the profits after 3 years, however after 3 years and several "revaluations" it turned out that the shares ended up in a negative situation so we're worthless. The employees felt that the BoD had screwed them over and so mistrust set in.

Scampthedog, it would be great news if it was on the agenda.

I mentioned UK earlier but forgot to add that our Nothern Ireland colleagues would be able to claim back for up to 10 years following last year's ruling on the PSNI. Even ex serving police officers can claim.
I suspect that there may come a time when a blanket agreement is reached between RMG and the CWU to draw a line under this but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

Scampthedog, that's exactly what I am referring to. According to ACAS, it can be backdated for up to 2 years in the UK. There have already been successfully applications paid out in my office.

Scampthedog, I would expect that the Ricky McAulay video will be high on the agenda for Work Time Learning on Monday afternoon.
I suspect that any negotiations on the Four Pillars Agreement may include a diluted version so that costs are kept to a minimum and then both sides can claim a victory of sorts but in my opinion it's still not going to be cheap. Sorting out the Holiday Pay issue could cost almost as much but that appears to be on the back burner for the time being.

I received a WhatsApp message from RMG this morning with Ricky McAulay telling us that RMG and the CWU are to hold "mutual interest talks" on the "journey to 2024" which is encouraging. RMG have also agreed to defer the TUPE of Parcelforce employees.

I have been keeping a spreadsheet page with regard to Rico's share holding in RMG as I think it is a useful guage of his commitment to the company.
Since 19/11/18 he has purchased 1,212,000 shares at an average price of £2.43 and received £279 in dividend payments which could potentially bring his average down to £2.20. I have no idea how much commission he paid, how much tax he has paid on his dividend payments or even if he has sold any since (does this get declared in Director dealings) so it's a "best guess" really.

Well I'll be jiggered! Just spent the last hour on the London stock exchange website looking at moving average charts for RMG. Seems that downbutnotout may have a point? The last time that the 50DMA crossed the 200DMA was on Friday 3rd of August 2018 when the SP was 462.5. After that the chart looks like the north face of the Eiger.
However the current chart looks like the 50DMA is now moving up through the 200DMA and that last happened on Friday 29th of December 2017 when the SP was 452.5 and went on to rise to 613.8 on Monday 14th of May 2018.
So, reading the tea leaves, we should be looking for a nice SP increase between now and Easter?
