So if GD wins this battle and stays and the Trading up-date is as expected with what 1-3% growth, does that mean the sp will just fall back to around the 40p mark and will will carry on for another 12 months with more pain?
So far it looks another good day for buys vs sells if they are correct but the sp is still down. It's about time the company put out some sort of rns underpinning the sp, or even directors buying some shares. This stock is controled by 3 big investors that own approx 51% of the business so any rights/ placing etc would have to be agreed with them first, but if MA is expected to put his hands into his pockets for more money he might as well just bid out right for the company. Then he could loan the company any money they might need from SD just like he has done with other companies he has bought. Come on Mike make a 50p bid now.
Today says that GD thinks he has it in the bag, but then another says he could soon be spending more time at home with a number of other CEO 's that have also been removed. So who knows.
So the market / city have thrown everything at debs in the last 2 weeks and we are still here, so now maybe it's time to start climbing back up to 20p.
After all the trouble he has gone through to help him keep his job, I cannot for the life of me understand why he hasn't released the trading up-date by now if it's good and if he wants to increase his odds at keeping his job. Maybe he 's got it in the bag and is not bothered or the trading up-date isn't very good, so he is hoping many would have already voted him in and then too late to change their minds when the TU comes out on Wednesday. Tomorrow will be interesting.
Who knows what's going to happen, it's not certain that they will make a cash carry but on the other hand so many companies in the same situation have made cash calls. IF they do it would fall in line with their statement to improve the balance sheet, but at what price. ? They could already be involved in discussions or maybe a fully under written placing at what 10p- 14p, if they did that they would need 500m- 1bn new shares oif 1p then a consolidation up to 10p, that's seems what they all do. Any one's guess.
It's again very interesting in their reply to say , ( but said it had "a clear strategy in place" and was taking "decisive actions to strengthen the business). This still says to me that a rights / placing for millions of shares looks likely to happen very soon. Maybe 10p a share to raise £100m - £200m all underpined / agreed. Now what will MA say about that when he owns approx 30%.
I think we are all trying to live the dream whatever that dream level is, learn as much as possible,be a bit influential ,be helpful where we can, be social, and trying to make a little money on the side.
Like many I have been share trading for approx 30 years and been on here about 9 years. I think it's fair to say that apart from a few posters who do try to help others , the majority of posters are here ONLY to try and influence others to sell or buy the stocks that will help the poster in pushing up or down a price to enable them to make more profit. And that's it. Then there are some others that that never own any shares , live in a dream world thinking they have money but just post for the social side because it makes them feel better, and that's great for them. Everyone to their own, but it is a game and as long as we all know that it's fine.
Funny isn't it that when 1 shorter comes along many other shorter's join in like a pack to of dogs to try and drive down a stock more and more. They all seem to try and out do other shorter's remarks with factless silly remarks of their own to see who can bring down an sp the most. Another major point to watch is you can ALL be caught out and lose lots of money in the same way when a sp turns very fast for the better.
I have just been re-reading the last rns and it says this, In order to give us maximum flexibility amidst difficult trading conditions we are taking the opportunity to strengthen our balance sheet further. Whilst still pushing ahead with key strategic initiatives, we are planning for a material reduction in FY2019 capex. As a result we expect net debt to be lower in FY2019 than in FY2018. We also intend to conduct a strategic review of non-core assets, aiming to focus investment behind our strategy. Now I read this as looking at some sort of rights issue .anyone else ?
