I would have thought the volume involved would give plenty of profit, but there must be plenty of shelf life to cover the shipping time and store shelf life.
Are we talking about large quantities of Christmas mince pies etc as well, I guess they would have been in the March / July sales period.

I think I read that we are shipping them to you, but could be wrong.

Since according to them they have already put some assets on the market, I would hope they will aim to get some sort of agreement on price from a buyer to include that information in their end of year report even though it could be another 2-3 months before completion and the money goes into next years numbers.
I would imagine they will also try to give some good news about some rent reductions in this years results.
Then many would be happy that they could reduce debt and reduce next years overheads. sp could be 40p- 60p very soon after.

Results due in Oct for year end approx 1/2 sept, so do you think they will try to complete the assets sale by end of Aug to be in the numbers end Aug.
In which case we should here some news soon, at least an agreement for someone to buy and at what price. Then the shorters will be getting out asap.

It must be what 5 years plus that our sales have been badly affected by hot weather. If we can only buy / develope some summer products that sell well to off-set the summer months then I am sure our total product mix and total sales / profit would improve.
The bod's know this but nothing seems to be done to improve the situation, why?. Is it the quality of our marketers or maybe just the lack of BOD's will to invest.?

Consumer spending rose 5% year-on-year in July, according to the latest figures from Barclaycard, boosted by the heatwave and the World Cup.

Essential spending was up 8.7% last month, with supermarket spending 6.7% higher and spending on petrol up 13%.
