Like a few others I think this could be a good thing , all the tv / press are saying it's all about finding more cost savings and NOT about going bust and it shows the new FO is looking forward and got things in hand.
Let's see what the sp open is.

If there is any truth in this article then I guess the bod will just let it go , but if they think it's just fictional or clearly untrue then we could get some sort of an rns to put the facts correct.
Let's see what happens this week.

As we all know our new Chief Financial Officer Rachel Osborne starts on the 17th Sept, and I guess like all new CFO for any company they would want to get an impartial financial view of the state of the company they were just joining.
So it would make sense to call in say KPMG to cast their eyes over things. and we already know that Debs is in talks with their landlords to reduce rents so that’s nothing new.
Now I don’t know any more than many others but this looks to me like another piece of press over blown fictional reporting to sell more papers as they do, on the other hand there could be more to it and we will have to wait until results time in Oct.

The messaging around the strengthening of balance sheet in the last trading update was clearly referring to the planned capex reduction and focus on generating cashflow from operations. Analysts have also made assumptions around our future dividend payments – although the Board has made no comment on dividend policy. These measures of themselves are expected to lead to a reduction in net debt in the next financial year and we have not signalled any intention to raise capital other than what might be delivered by any asset disposals; as we stated we are conducting a review of assets, as their value is clearly not recognised in the current equity valuation. This is in order to ensure that the business is in the best possible financial shape to withstand the challenging trading conditions which are not expected to abate in the near term.



We are, as you may be aware, a year into a new strategy following a change of leadership. As yet our results do not reflect the benefits of our strategic initiatives. Our next scheduled market update will be the preliminary results on 26th October when I hope we will be able to demonstrate more tangible signs of progress.

Well is that another target missed, but then we are so used to that.

Simon Rose will be get his free shares regardless, all they have to do is say he did his job well and the company never went bust etc as long as he stays for 3 years +.
Now if they said providing the sp was at least 75p then I don't think any of us would complain but you can bet it doean't say that.

I believe the TSB CEO resigned , so why did he walk away with a big lump sum approx £1.5m.
He either left and shouldn't get paid anything or he was pushed and they paid him off with his contract.

More bl**dy free share options for another board member to be taken in 3 -7 years time.
So another board member will be hanging around for the next 3 years at least. Does the gravy train for pfd never end?
I have held my shares for what about 6 + years and still get nothing free let alone my money back.
I guess GD will be getting more free options in 2019.

Yes looked over sold at 88p then 73p now 40p, just where is there value in this.?

Like many others I movered out of another falling stock and moved into this one , but once again getting caught in the Bloo** trap, it's just so difficult to make any money these days.

So now we know that Rachel Osbourne will get
approx. £439,000 salary, another £878,000 in bonuses and other awards which will be cheap / free shares etc.
I just hope she is worth it.

I went shopping with my wife yesterday and we went into a large HoF store to buy cosmetics as ladies do.
Anyway we went to one of the concession ladies who are employed by their own company, and were told that they had NO new stock coming in due to NOT being paid by HoF and were running out of stock fast and didn’t know what was going to happen. So could well mean that Debs should / could be picking up a lot more trade.

Yes this is very disappointing, after what about 2 years of being around the 40p mark we were expecting something to happen after the GD confidence vote and the last int results.
Now pfd have said they will look at selling something if anyone is interested but it appears that no one is interested and we are back to same old same old storey.
For some un known reason the big shareholders seem happy to just sit on this stock with it going nowhere, very strange.
God knows what we do now.

You make some very good points, The trouble is with debs and many other stocks the normal shareholders that will sit tight and wait for a recovery have had to put up with relentless shorter’s continually de-ramping and trying to push down the sp’s .To the extent that many normal shareholders will now post anything and everything to positive they can find to help off-set the de-rampers from getting their own ways.
And who can blame them.

you probably could make some money by buying and selling but you would need to be buying say 100,000 at a time with such a small sp movement and taking into account the spread and comm.
Think I will just sit tight.

Does anyone know what was in the last contract apart from say,
vog supplied the gas at a ridiculously low price for a period of about 2 years and not get paid for about a year.
So any new contract must be an improvement.
We need to hold our ground on an improved gas price, some G/Tee on being paid on time otherwise we terminate the gas supply, and supply for a longer minimum period say 5 years.
Then many will be happy.

I think you are missinbg the point,
It's NOT about the consumer it's never been about the consumer.
It's just about raising taxes, who really cares about the consumer all governments over the last 20+ years have only been interested in collecting taxes but give the impression they care, if they really cared they would drop taxes and prices to everyone.
All this green tax / windmills / meters , it's just all about pushing the cost onto the consumer, we just have to live with it.
