The declared estimated 250 million BOE in the BFF is a master piece of misdirection, that is for the whole reservoir, not 88es ~63% share of it.

Their share is much more modest

28 million barrels of oil

57 million barrels of lower valued NGLs

72 million BOE of gas, the E means equivalence in energy, the heating value of the gas.

Their is no pipeline to sell gas into, so at this point, of no commercial value currently

A very poor result from a reservoir originally estimated to net 88e 341 million barrels of oil, yes in pure oil

When 341 shrinks to 28, that shows a serious error in the original estimate assumptions, these are the same assumptions for all the other reservoirs currently being tested

The deeper the rock, the greater the compaction, the tighter the grain, the less the space to trap oil, and the greater the resistance to passing through it.

88e are at the far end of a deteriorating reservoir, this is a plain and simple fact. The nearest flow tested well is Talitha, 9.3 miles away and well up dip. No sane investor will assume the reservoir will be the same quality when it has been buried so much deeper, and therefore has greater compaction.

As you are no doubt aware declaring a discovery, does not make it commercial, it just means there is some oil that should flow.

Is it enough to be commercial, that will take a flow test with good numbers, and then a further proof multi stage fractured long term flow test.

PANR are involved because the data is a swap, of their Talitha data for Hickory data, both gain from this, but it does not imply anything else. In fact it is obvious PANR with vast amounts of their own oil, at half the price of 88e oil, will not be offering even that half price, for oil that will be from a poorer reservoir (physics and all that science stuff)

I will speculate that PANR are hoping for data that proves their reservoirs, extend the 9.3 miles from Talitha to Hickory, even if it tapers off to sub commercial at Hickory, it still a win for them

Also each fracture conducted is a learning event, so this one with their input, may improve beyond the 50% efficiency they achieved at the latest SMDB flow test. Great if you can get 88e to pay for this learning, its a free hit.

Where PANR may add even further value is in the flow back plan, PANR have learnt that it is best to flow back gently, without dropping the reservoir pressure too much, as it will produce excessive gas flow which impedes the oil flow.

While 88e are incentivized to go for broke at maximum pressure drop, to gain a high unsustainable headline flow rate for the market

The fact that 88e have stated "The entire program for each zone is expected to take approximately ten days, however

88 Energy may choose to adjust the schedule during the flow back program to ensure optimal data

collection." indicates they may be considering the more sensible gentle approach, so will extend the flow back period

Looking at the original plan with only 4 days for clean up flow back, was never enough for anything valid, PANR took 11 days for the same sequence

Hepran, you are mistaken of course, 1000pd is an insane number for the flow test, the question was directed at the ramp from Musk who stated "So a company that is highly likely to flow a vast amount of oil in the next week or so"

Clearly this is a pure ramp, and he was called out for it, asked to quantify vast "You must have a number, would vast be 1000 barrels for instance"

It turns out Musk has no idea how much VAST is.

What can safely be said is there has been a vast amount of pumping going on here

It is easy to spot a share that is being pumped, just throw a fact or two in the water, and watch the pumpers fight it for hours on end

These rampers do not even know what to expect of a good flow test result, they just blind ramp everything

The assumptions you so readily dismiss, come from publicly released 88e information. There are reasoned and logical conclusions that then follow based on these known facts.

Generally it is because they have no counter to the argument, and it threatens their ramping objectives. Which when you consider it, ramping is based on the belief, if the suckers fall for it, its their fault. While in reality they just don't know the other side of the case, because they are inexperienced in that field

Its been a very busy LSE site, with a huge amount of Rah Rah, and precious little chat on the value drivers. IMO over focused on the emotional feel good drivers, such as an up blip in share price, and posters uber positive sentiment expression, some would classify as ramping,.

There are actual facts to consider, that will give a basis for valuation.

I can already envisage, a chorus of outrage from the blatant pumpers and rampers here, so be it. They are only here for a trade that will benefit them, at the expense of those that fall for the hype

But for the other investors, ask if you are better off, with a counter point post to consider, in your decision, on what the value may be, and where the risk reward sits. Hanging on for an ultimate pay day, that is not grounded in reason can leave you disappointed

Take the time to unpick the logic, as any permanent value will be rationally decided, by farm in or other partners/buyers, not the hype brigade

It is based on the pre drill estimates of 23/8/2022, since the actual drill, the 358mmbo mean in the BFF has shrunk 273 mmbo to 85mmb including NGLS, and the Kuparuk has not been drilled at all

Any sensible investor would deduct these from the original total

647 - 273(BFF) = 374

374 -56 (KUP) = 318

It would be a brave soul that plans on no shrinkage in the remaining 318, given the shrunken result in the BFF

It will require debt, or farminee, or equity raise, all of which will be massive dilutions
