... Jefferies tipped us and almost at same time was forced to declare they have upped their stake to 5.1%. Oh the subtlety!!

Three reasons:
1) In this market if one bidder thinks Victory is worth a bid, it is a fair bet others will have their slide rules over it right now.
2) if all goes well with Victory since RBD went to all the trouble to get court approval to a capital reduction by means of a capital pay6back to shareholders it seems a fair bet that we may get this when the big money flows in for Victory.
3) at 0.41p more seem a cheap purchase and a better average once value is appreciated by the market.

Naturally though, you must DYOR. Noy for those who can't afford to lose 100%.

..via one of their offshore cos will, IMO, have put in place a strategy to increase their holding over the following months to perhaps 15% or more followed by a bid, quite possibly agreed by now. My guess is they will let the froth subside to somewhere aroung £21.50 before standing in the market again, rinse and repeat. That would be fine. Glad to be in and showing a teeny profit at this stage. An outfit like Standard aint gonna stop at 5%!!

Laughed myself sick,gmed-2. You really don't believe that, do you? This co is waiting for a whole lot of cash to pursue their plans and are loathe to issue more paper at flompence per share. But that doen't mean it's hopeless. Just a very high risk gamble. The rewards could be just as high but I reckon I could lose the lot. Do your own flippin' research and don't say you weren't warned!
