Not so sure now. Was 14.7% geared which is bad news in a dip. May have reduced gearing but is probably needed to maintain the dividend, because selling funds to lower gearing means the stock sold will yield zero. Will wait rather than buy or sell, unless SP falls further.

Not that virus but acc to Weekend FT Gupta's bank is having to appoint independent Investigating Accountants because of suspected dodgy loans to associated persons. That might have an effect here if the family has to clear out here!

May top up if fall continues.

Will review tomorrow. If this continues, this will need more of my money. The words 'Gift horse' and 'mouth' come to mind!

I don't want to think of the SPs of my other investments if FFWD sinks to that level! I take your point, gewillia. I think the drop in value of portfolio to the year end may take into account the large loss of value realised in the sale of that part of the shopping centre portfolio which was sold by the year end. Only Brent Cross South still to sell and possibly some after the end of the year end will reduce the remaining portfolio in 2020. When you consider how the SP has fallen I still reckon HMSO is a speculative buy right now, especially if they are able to pay a lower but still decent dividend hereafter. Perhaps not 'for widows and orphans' though.

You are right of course, Chester, but I would add 'empty the money-box for all those penny shares likely to be offered us fairly shortly!

Chester, As one who has held from the heady days of 18p, I think should have those famous words emblazoned on it:
'Abandon Hope, all ye who enter here' (over the gateway to Hell.
Just 'hope' we all have the lifespan to see this through, one way or the other!

When the likelihood is a Placing and the longer they leave it, the cheaper that will have to be!

Thanks Bruce. Ironically today Intu went up smartly! Perhaps because more of a 'penny' share? Certainly not as good as HMSO.
