The SP needs to pretty much double to see us back on the level (pre consolidation).
I sincerely hope the BoD have something big going on behind the scenes as the MCAP is starting to look a bit daft!

No worries. A few people have done well with it while others are currently having a nightmare (despite being only a few months late to the party). I fortunately got lucky.
VELA is a very different beast. Lots of good news to come and big potential with Normand (Mr Honest and straight to the point) at the helm.

Definitely don't be promoting SYME on here!. Lots of very unhappy holders at the minute (some of which are looking down the barrel of a 50% loss since earlier this year)
Anyway, back to VELA.. Where are these SGS results?! That should perk things up a bit!

Only a couple more trading days of the month with the PET exclusivity extension due to expire on the 1st August.

Interesting to see how quickly the sells were absorbed by new buyers.
Someone is clearly filling up on VELA shares today. Hopefully a sign of what is to come!

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion?. There is nothing wrong with having multiple exec directors provided they bring value to the business/shareholders. JN can't do everything on his own.
- New investment announced yesterday.
- Pool of existing investments that are either making steady money or have already created cash.
- IPOs due in the next couple of months.
- SGS news due within days/weeks

The value will come!

To reflect the share price the BoD should put in a request to change the ticker to FFS!
Surely the team at SNT have something going on that's news worthy. We are now at 50% of the mcap vs pre consolidation.

I know i have said it before but the SP could have quadrupled here with a tail wind and a bit of social media attention and would still represented reasonable value for new investors if the SGS trials pan-out as intended. Once news drops it will be a big day whether it's this week or August. I hope it's soon as it pains me to see LTHs lose out to traders making a quick few quid on the RNS landing.

I think too many people look for poor excuses when their investments don't perform as they might have hoped. You will see everything from "paid derampers" to "MM's taking this down". The reality is the market flows in-line with supply and demand. More buyers = higher SP / More sellers = lower SP.
In VELA's case we are simply waiting for news so a few investors will jump ship to chase rainbows elsewhere (these are usually the investors who lose out in the long run).
Provided investors are happy with their due diligence and have confidence the the business its just a case of waiting.

That's some confidence Johnski. Thanks to the gradual drop I am more confident in VELA than SYME at the moment, however, that may change with an RNS or two. Just look at the rate the SP accelerated upwards in August last year. Its entirely possible we will see similar again once AZ gets his ducks in a row.

A few buyers clearly took advantage of the drop yesterday and got a healthy entry price (I'm a little jealous given my current average).
The MCap is currently so low that a single contract win could double the value of the business. We haven't heard much about the US subsidiary so the BoD may have something in the pipeline fairly soon. You don't set-up shop in the states to do nothing with it.

September may be a far away but there is nothing stopping SGS or VELA issuing an information indicating the interim trial results. Not to mention further details on the plans for commercialisation.
I just hope the sellers dont regret their decision to sell at this stage. I personally think they might,

100% agree. RDGC will become Blue Air later this year (provided the RTO goes as planned).
I cant see VELA investing in a budget Romanian airline unless the returns are likely to be outrageously impressive.
Fingers crossed we see some early news on the trial results and a little update on existing investments. The fact that we are still in the .75-.85 range is laughable. That last RNS mentioning commercialisation of AZD1656 could have easily led to a massive rise. It seems there are a lot of cautious investors that don't want to play their cards just yet.

I get that some folk will not want to wait for more news regarding SGS results but that news could land at any time between now and August (potentially with a marked impact on the share price). There is also the matter of £2m in cash available to the BoD for further investments and the pool of existing investments, some of which are already doing quite well.

We have had a little dilution today thanks to the warrant excise (although its fairly meaningless numbers), but the share price seems to be slipping. This is surely the worst possible time to selling VELA shares. Or am I missing something?

AIM is a funny thing. VELA share price creeping up gradually while similar announcements in the market have seen 100% plus increases in minutes.
Lots of long term holders loaded up here so we should at least see a bit of the stability once the SP finds its level today.

Coos bay could be worth good money but I get the impression it will get sold off to someone other that PET as it doesn't really sit with their green credentials.
We just need the BoD to break their bad habit of not communicating with holders (unless to announce exclusivity extensions)

Someone knows something! Big profit potential for the warrant holders when the SP perks up in the coming days/weeks.
