LSE is broken again and hasnt been showing RNS's for a few days.

I would put good money on there being a few sizable buys showing up after hours today. MM's dropping this back to fill orders while retail investors are handing over shares on the cheap. Its pretty shameless given the months of waiting for todays news but some folk just dont have the patience required to make proper money.

I think too many people expect a good RNS to result in an instant 100% plus rise on open. The reality is; the traders will want to get out with a few percent and the MM's will have large orders to fill given the RNS significantly de-risks the investment.
Those selling now will likely regret their decision. Potentially within days!

Well its official. I am not going to think of anything else except VELA for the next couple of days.
Just shy of 35m shares in the pot so Monday is going to be boom or......... big boom.

Its a tough one to call. We have all seen meaningless news fire some AIM listed companies into the stratosphere while others have gained a few percent on world class news. Its all part of the game. You have to be in it to win it.
As I said a few days ago, we likely wont 10 bag over night. We may however, have the additional revenue from AZD to make more significant investments elsewhere and grow to the levels that JN is known for (AAA / RDGC).

Looks like we are seeing warrants being washed through and a few nervous sellers getting caught out.
If you have shares and are happy with the risk why sell now?! No one is making mega money at this level. Next week on the other hand will be a very different story.
Some lucky folk are also picking up sup .01 shares (I certainly didnt think that would be possible at this point in time)

Thats another month of waiting for .....nothing.
I hope the news is spectacular when it finally arrives, although I may have died of old age by then!

The shackles should largely be off now ahead of news. There may be a few warrant holders flipping the odd shares for the next couple of days but at least we know that no more will be getting converted.
Although VELA has some very nice irons in the fire, I cant help but get a bit giddy about the SGS news. Its been a long 12 months building up a decent holding. Bring on the results!

If the news is as expected (AZD1656 is both safe and effective) then it is worth millions in revenue to VELA who will have millions to play with when it comes to making further investments.
Looks at JN's history. He doesn't just land one good deal and move on, he really builds up listed entities to become substantial entities (he isnt interested in being an AIM minnow).

I really hope you are wrong but the BoD don't appear to be doing much to move the RTO forward. It would be nice to get a proper update on progress.

It's simple. Hold for gold.
If the commercialisation of the drug is as good as most expect then then there will be no need to derisk as VELA will secure a long term income from AZD, supporting the financial freedom to make more sizeable investments in other opportunities. That's what excites me, as a ten bagger could then easily become a reality from current levels within 12 months.

When will folk learn to hold onto their shares instead of chasing AIM rainbows!
Spotted COPL getting ramped in the VELA chat and elsewhere last night. All those that dived in this morning are down circa 20% while vela has remained steady ahead of news. Don't follow the "ten bag" dreamers. You will be fine with Vela.

These pumpers need to find an alternative career. Pump and dumps don't work if the share price does nothing (or in todays case goes down). Its just the usual social media nutters that think they can influence the share price.
VELA does not need any help with multiple investments performing well (some providing cash) and news on the horizon from SGS and the new director. Just hold and look forward to the fireworks when real news arrives.

Another little top up this morning. God knows why anyone is selling at this level but it's making buying more shares feel like a bargain.

The re-rate is going to be magnificent when it finally arrives (hopefully in the next week or two)

If today was a pump and dump it shows how quickly the SP moves on modest volume.
We are due results and hopefully news on the US subsidiary so with a bit of luck the SP might look a little healthier later this month (hopefully a lot nearer the 36p mark where we would be back at pre consolidation levels in terms of MCAP).

Given the warrants excised and the most recent investment of 750k, am I right in thinking that the BoD still have circa £1.2-1.5 million at their disposal?
