I guess they've got a couple of other issues to deal with. From our investor's POV the EL clearly has top priority. Not sure the government sees it the same way.

And therefore - petertee - I am devastated to acknowledge that the next RNS covering these issues will be the ultimate love it or leave it sentence. I hate to say this but: Sell now (at a loss) or possibly lose it all. HOPE - at this point - is the only thing that keeps us LTHs invested.

Exactly petertee: That's what I meant when I said otherwise PM would be out of business (GKahn reminded me however, that there were still other exploration options - great! What happens if the land use issue crops up there too?).

As I understand (and I may be wrong on this one), the EL will - if at all - be issued solely for the Heron well - not for any other location. I.e. that license application procedure would start from scratch if and when oil is found anywhere else.

If the EL and the land use issues are not resolved in PM's favor (which I can hardly imagin) then I see no point in being invested in PM any longer. Complete waste of time and money.

With reference to Cormie's post this morning @07.25 looks to me you've got several options:

1. Wait and see, i.e. hold
2. Sell (possibly at a loss)
3. Average down, i.e. buy

I am holding not because I have no other option but because I chose to believe that PM will - slowly but surely - succeed in bringing oil to the market.

So what do you intend to do ?

If those "local authorities" are successful then PM is out of business - full stop. I really wonder how the local desires can be aligned with the Mongolian Government's plans for achieving energy independence.

petertee: I was surprised to see the resistance over the last few weeks - would've expected to see much more of a SP-slide in the wake of news-absence. The SP is - justifiably - holding up very well as we investors (and the side liners) all expect to receive news concerning the license grant. The whole situation is kind of ridiculous: PM have - finally - struck oil and the only thing holding everything up is the EL. Clearly there are people out there who believe that there are additional obstacles which could prevent PM from cashing in on its oil strike. I for one am positive that this is the beginning of PM's success.

Just bought 200K @2.4p.

As "persistent" has pointed out several times now: There is a "requirement of keeping share holders informed of all material aspects of company progress that could affect stock price". Should this local election event (which is known to PM) - the outcome of which is beyond PM's control - have such an impact then I assume the investors should be informed respectively (according to the AIM rules). However, I also assume - even if it were so - that this will not be the case.

I agree Hamm: Under a dictatorship the license grant would move much faster - but would it be more trustworthy (for investors)?
