The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Posters on this BB (myself incl.) thought that the posters with less posts (let's say < 1000) wouldn't have much to say. In the meantime I believe the posters who show less posts contribute the most intelligent comments.
Sorry Master, badprofit, doc, wos, Hamm etc. and - of course - myself - but we guys just don't get it.
The yeah and (particulalrly) nay sayers on this board know exactly that this company's business outlook is incredibly positive - they just don't want to admit it. Clearly, every sp downward slide is down their (negative) alley. Interestingly though they keep sticking around - look's like they feel/see something very positive coming up. As I said: They won't admit it.
Yeah email get used to the fact that you're in a lottery. If you aren't a millionaire by now you should take the action in accordance with your investment plan (should you have one). Try selling or topping up. Is there anything else you could possibly do?
Master: now that was probably the heftiest accusation towards the CEO to date. A CEO deliberately driving his company's sp down is - next to murder - the worst thing a CEO can do - I truly hope you're wrong.
Compared to my 13+ years (since 2010) you're doing a lot better than me.
But I agree: The hardest part is over (except for the showing patience).
I was hoping I could get out of this investment at 1£+ if I waited long enough and I'm sure it will happen someday; sadly I'm not sure I will be around when it happens (so MB: step on the gas please!).
GL to all.
Moveonup: Good thing you were'nt around lately - you didn't miss much.
Yes - the LP was awarded by the central government; whereby "local formalities" would need to be addressed. Several weeks have gone by since then and the market/investors have been left in the dark regarding the reasons for the "formality-delays". Clearly this is a lousy situation and a lot of positive news appears to depend on the final "local approval" of the LP (i.e. cooperation with DQE, logistic contracts with PC for hauling the Heron oil to PC's installations etc.).
So in summary we investors had hoped this would be done and dusted by now. However, there is still justified hope that oil can be extracted from Heron before the year ends.
The negative posters on this BB don't want to see this happen (for whichever reasons).
But as WOS correctly said many times: love it or leave it - it's your investment money - but be happy!
If I may: All of this back and forth stuff is ultimately due to the fact that we investors are all damned to speculate. Speculation based on the SP and the (lack of) positive results. I hate to see the SP dive - but I don't know what the reasons are. Would be good to get some official info (hello - anyone listening?).
I honestly sympathize with CondorMan's posts as far as - at least from my POV - you can't make a single individual person responsible for the lack of progress. That would be too easy.
I truly hope that the PM issues can be solved very soon and we as a company can finally get moving.
B/p - in that case you don't find me annoying, abusive etc. In addition to that you make pre-announcements (like "filtered") which you don't follow thru with - interesting.
Don't try to talk your way out of this: You clearly use the word "reality" although you are merely speculating. Is that how you want to get back at whoever it is? That's what kindergardners do!
OK - at least I now know in which category you belong.
Apart from the fact (reality!) that he has long ago "filtered" me b/p appears to have a crystal ball and consequently knows what is coming, i.e the future which typically has nothing to do with "reality".
It would be wise for b/p - who claims to have filtered me - to mark his posts so that everybody understands that he is speculating and knows nothing about the future.
Looks like we've got another bad sport on this BB.
The truth is brutal sometimes, particularly when it hits you unexpectedly.
You really can't win 'em all - better to deal with reality.
Wager what b/p? You've neither the funds nor the guts to invest in PM (or anything else). What else have you got to put on the table - your grandmother (RIP)? - so who would want to wager with such a charachter?
