The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Natural Resources and the Iraqi Ministry of Oil have agreed on a new mechanism for oil exports from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The deal, finalised after joint meetings beginning on 17 July 2025 and site visits to all regional oil fields, was signed on 11th August by delegations from both sides, including 17 representatives from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.

Under the agreement, 50,000 barrels per day (bpd) will be reserved for domestic use within the Kurdistan Region, with the remainder delivered to the State Oil Marketing Organisation (SOMO) for export.

So the final sign off is what we need to know has taken place.

Lanstead deal is for 7 months as of May 25 - we have 3 months so it could be well that the sp goes up to get the average over that period higher? Does that not make sense

The Bull case for Jubilee is the upcoming infill drilling campaign: low-cost, high-margin barrels added through the existing FPSO, which still has >45 kbpd of spare capacity. Unlike typical long-cycle deepwater projects, this six-well brownfield program delivers near-term production with minimal new infrastructure capex. The first well is already online at ~10 kbpd, with 4–5 more to follow over the next year.

The facts are there that this could turn out to be a bargain and with that potential being the operator at Jubilee, where there is capacity to add 50k barrels we would no doubt be attractive to a peer that is looking to invest in west Africa/ Ghana.

The volume actually started building last night after 1pm and I added again, but has started to boil over this AM. I would just love it if my info regarding Moderna actually gets confirmed. Seems a few more are on this board today and the last time we saw that the sp sailed to almost 8p
