I’ve mentioned them a couple of times RD, wishful thinking I know, but you just never know. They certainly have deep pockets and this would be perfect for their bag/leather businesses:
The latest full-year LVMH balance sheet reports a healthy financial standing, highlighted below:Total Assets: €142.04 billionTotal Liabilities: €73.09 billionTotal Shareholder Equity: €68.95 billionInventory (including the core Louis Vuitton brand): €22.7 billionCash & Short-Term Investments: €13.50 billionTotal Debt: €20.37 billion (Net debt: €6.86 billion).
LVMH operates six key sectors, including Fashion and Leather Goods (which is the primary driver of Louis Vuitton), Wines & Spirits, Watches & Jewelry, Perfumes & Cosmetics, and Selective Retailing. While Louis Vuitton's individual numbers aren't separated publicly in the parent company's consolidated balance sheet, the Fashion and Leather Goods segment historically drives the lion's share of LVMH's revenue and operating profits.
Come on LV, you know it makes sense! :)
