Almost like this system was made in the 60s/70s or something.... is it too much to ask in a digital age that brokers should have to mark things as buys and sells on their end so no need for an algo? Or would that make the big boys have to scratch their heads and figure out new ways to maniuplate reporting of transactions. Rhetorical question there ;)

So the Alex Jones of finances. I think one of the biggest things he misses was the Depression no one remebers that preceeded the Great Depression because despite being much worse than the great depression the FED did nothing and the market corrected via gold and silver in about a year and a half. As opposed to the Great Depression that was kept going via FED market interference.
Can't recall ooff the top of my head but it's the 1921 of 1927 Depression.
And how he went on about too much leverage, margain,debt and funny money in the system but then advised people to short the nasdaq towards the end of the video. Once again talking about Pd shorts being overwhelmed in 2017-18 and a similar scenario could play out in silver.

Expectations well and truly amended and the point about % of spot prices is noted going forward. Thanks for that Starbright, I had thought 1-3% NPV for was harsh even outside of JORC but everyday is a school day and it's always best to expect the worst so anything better is a pleasant surprise.

We come in to the next class hand it in and the teacher goes over them as we do some work stuff. She laughed at one point. At the end of the lesson she asked my friend to read out his homework.
5 minutes of an increasingly red in the face dyslexic lad knowing he had kept getting angel and angle wrong in his written homework but even as he was speaking he kept getting it wrong and naturally the class grew increasingly giggly. Bit mean of the teacher in hindsight cos the poor lad had people shouting.
"It's the angle of death!" In maths classes and in the corridors at him for about 2 years afterwards.

Title says it all. The more I read and listen to Willem the more comfortable I feel having focused on PMs and PGMs with my investment stratergy. I have some fossil fuels, potash and bio exposure because diversification is important of course but anyway. Just thought I'd share this video with everyone.

My advice? Go make some snow angles outside. I just did and I'm smiling like a kid :) No but for real you need to get some ying yan balance going. You cannot change that which never was so to beat one's self up over missed opportunities will make it difficult for you to prosper elsewhere in life. Oh and try rereading research, that can put your mind at ease.

Starbright, damn. As low as that? Ouch, didn't think it would be less than 1 or 2% once confirmed but still in the ground with no infrastructure in place to get it out. Do we need to get it into a JORC resource before we get to the 5% NPV range? I'd have thought that would be more like 10-15% depending on inferrred Vs measured.

I personally never said anything about grossly undervalued. Just undervalued so Hammersly provides upside even on meh news imo. But you do have a point. My grass is better than your grass etc and ultimately there is a value curve that we have to move along, with assets and as a company, even with outside factors that may influence the day to day fluctuations along the way. But some do seem to think the peak of that curve can come any day. Even in a full blown PM breakout tomorrow, we would be no further along that curve. Although the SP would be different but not the level it would if we are further along the curve.

However I would argue that with a current MCAP of 40 million low end estimations of a confirmed 75 M/t is worth more than our current MCAP when we consider other assets on top. So there is a lot of potential for upside given the high end 245ish M/ton. If the low figure of assets provided is taken using a heavily discounted NPV of 5% yields a number lower than the MCAP then you are by definition under valued. Or am I missing something here?
If we get 100 m/ton confirmation then the figures I amatuerishly provided get another 25% on top. I think the only flaw to my argument here, that Hammersly confirmation provides good upside is that the market may be laughing at me as it slaps a 1-3% NPV on us even after confirming DSO Fe of anything over 100. That or we don't find what we want but after a year of being here I am confident that will not be the case.

Not trying to stamp my feet I'm right. Just trying to put a bit more effort into my investing so if I am missing stuff or you disagree. Have at it. In the morning :P

@ 28:56 This Mr Harry Dent fellow says the good time to buy silver will be 2 years time around the 5 - 6 - 7$ dollar range... gold 1000$ oz. Bitcoin 3000-4000. I really don't know what to make of this Dent, he get's some things right but I really do not understand the logic here. Funny money driven stock market bubble burst = PMs crash with it?
Either way. I found this interview to be a combination of well informed but wrong at the same time. And funny. He described federal reserve people as "those people who never have sex and never have ran a business. " Made me lol.

I agree some of our 40 mil MCAP is from the current market valuation of in the ground asset value but the real question is what NPV % is the market treating us to? Even a few % of 75 M/tons let alone 240 odd M/T is undervaluing UFO at 40 million MCAP including other assets. So I strongly disagree with.
"Hamersley drill results - partially priced in, material upside potential on surprise good news (would have to be v good)" It's the would have to be very good part. IMO confirmation of low end figures of M/tons DSO grade iron ore is not all that priced in presently.

1125000000 / 95 (so 5% NPV if I am doing this right which i am probably not) = 118421052.632
118421052.632 / 2 (our current interest of 50%) = 59210526.316

Now as I have said before, I suck at maths so may well have gotten something very wrong here but unless I am mistaken confirmation of low end estimations of iron ore at Hammersly justifies an MCAP of 59.2 million using 5% NPV for in ground asset value. Oh yeah and that is of course dollars and I have no idea how to translate that into pounds without being a total hack and just converting 59.2 million USD into GBP on google lol. Do I need to divide by how much a dollar is worth compared to a pound or the other way round? Or is it the difference? I hate maths lol.

And if I have gotten this terribly, badly, on levels so bad it's an affront to decent mathamatics; do feel free to point and laugh. I need to get better at the maths side of investing. Science, asbtract notions and industry jargon is no problem for me but numbers man. My mam describes it as being dyslexic with maths. The numbers just won't bloody line up and longer sequences start jumping around and all those zeros blur together into noise.
Which is why I normally let others tackle actual numbers lol.

I will also say I agree with most of what you wrote StarBright but not on Hammersly. But maybe I'm biased, it was the Iron Ore prospects that got me to invest initally (outside of the awesome ticker code which made me look in at all) and for a long time on this board it seemed like a neglected asset between Mexico and the then aspirations of aquiring Elizabeth Hill.

Mfw I researched bitcoin in 2016 when it was like 330 dollars...but did not invest. Doh! In my defense I was in counselling back then and the idea of actually putting money into this opaque fledgling investment choice did not appeal to me. The worst part is it made sense to me.

Forget the coins, it's the value of the transparacy (can't hide trades from the block chain as every step must be audited and verified by computers in the chain) and security of the underlying block-chain that provides value (and an ability to stop the government from following your transactions.) As well as it cannot be manipulated like FIAT currency (can only be mined so finite and cannot be watered down with QE or mixing metals like with proper money).

Now seeing as Bitcoin is the granddaddy of crypto (a very young grand dad mind) it has the most recognition and a headstart on the competiton for market share which could be argued to be digital infrastructure regarding cryptos. That said given how expensive it is to get even a satoshi (individual bitcoins break down into fractions called satoshis after the alleged creator of the tech) investing into Bitcoin is like investing in FTSE 100 company. Ehterium is 250. Lightcoin 350 and everything else is AIM(looking at you Doge you delightful meme coin I totally should have invested in when I first heard about it in 2018. The internet loves memes and setiment really can, if only briefly, take things to the moon). A very rough analogy there but I think it fits.
Either way depending on your risk tolerance and desire for leverage there are different coins,tokens,block chains for your plans much like the stock market has different profiles/instruments to invest in.
Horses for courses and all that and if I made a pigs ear of explaining that and you can do better do pull me up. There is a definite technical barrier of entry to crypto like there is not with stocks IMO.
