Yesterday the same day that G7 and America sign up to long term support and Mad dog Putin promised to respond the SP dropped by 14% was that part of correcting the SP after the recent pump, or did the drop recognise the risk of asset seizures.

Clearly foreign assets in Russia are at greater risk now than at any time since Putin invaded Ukraine. Interest from Russian assets used to supply Ukraine and Mad dog Putin threatening to respond. America signing off a 10 year defence and support agreement with Ukraine, that is hardly a weakening of support. These are both long term policies.

Does anyone really believe Trump will end the war within 24 hours. We are talking here about the man who stood live on American tv and said that he wanted to use bleach and sunlight to cure covid!

If the war ended tomorrow Putin will be an international pariah for several years.

Putin has now replied that he considers it theft and will respond accordingly.

Putin has threatened on numerous occasions to seize western assets if the interest from seized Russian assets are used to support Ukraine. Doesn’t that mean that Putin has to carry out that threat or seriously weaken his own position by being shown to just be bluffing?

Jarv, if you check Trumps comments on Ukraine you will see that he has stated that support will continue but in the form of repayable loans

I see the G7 have agreed $50 billion of aid for Ukraine to be repaid from interest from seized Russian assets. Putin has threatened to seize assets from G7 members in retaliation, and USA have signed a 10 year defence agreement with Ukraine. Is this just another threat from Putin or are UK based assets really at risk? The war clearly isn’t ending soon.
