Dattabase, the company delists, so shares are no longer tradable other than privately, and the now delisted private company holds the same assets regardless of location.
It happened with Napster, Melody VR did a reverse takeover of Rhapsody International (Napster Owner) renamed itself as Napster, did a share conversion 750 into one new share, held a vote to delist 75% shareholder agreement needed, which the bod held, delisted then sold the company and all of its assets (VR patents, VR studios, and world wide music licences) to Algorand an investment and crypto consortium.
Not saying it’s going to happen just saying it does and asset location makes no difference, because the company whether listed or private owns or holds under licence the same assets.
