Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hey Mikey, really appreciate your work here... Particularly over last few days.
Just a quickie. Has VFIL retired now. Or still accumulating?
ta.
Good stuff here Mikey!,
One thing how are these institutions getting away with not reporting holding changes? Lansdowne/Capeview etc.
Why is the list of share holders not on the company website - surely a rule violation. And why when I ask the company for the list they don't respond.
The large nominee accounts to which you refer appearing in one go with Tatonic etc. Very suspicious. Almost plays into the Paul's mad conspiracies on ADVFN. But if that were the case - as you have said previously the broker would know and SP would be going up. So go figure?

We know that Taconic Sold their entire Holding of 31,134,938 Shares by Private Treaty, probably to a single Entity, and I can say there is a newish Nominee Account that appeared after the 1st Taconic sale which now holds over the total Taconic amount.
From that Sale we know that Sales of Shares sold by Private Treaty do not cause Rises. Why Taconic felt the need to tell the Market of their Sale we will never know, but we have never had a RT-1 or a RT-1 from the Buyer

GLG Partners held 11,096,124 (4.84%) Shares and disappeared of my radar around May and around the same time three Nominee Account gained several million shares.
So it looks like GLG sold their GKP Holding Privately and we got no RT-1

Capeview held 9,510,803 and disappeared off my radar in May/June this year, and its my belief that their Sale of 9,510,803 Shares caused the rise from the 29th May to the 19th June and we got no RT-1

In October 2016 Lansdowne Partners held 24,353,303 (10.61%) and they have since bought another 4,927,579 and now hold 29,280,882 (12.76%) . . . and guess what . . we did not receive a RT-1
'this time the reason I didn't sell is, I am waiting for the RNS spike on the News of the 2nd Amendment, but with GKP now down in the 220's and the Brexit plus China US woe's effecting the Market, my hopes of a spike to over 300p is looking a tad doubtful.'
Mikey would you agree. If the management can't deliver a 2nd amendment, and or publish a FDP in 2018. Surely they can't get bonuses - at least.
OK Mike, Ill agree with one of what you're posting.
However the price going down b4 the restructure was of course partial from large entities short selling and that short selling was selling to retail.
I'm just saying that institutions selling to retail doe snot alway cause the SP to rise!
Congrats everyone. (particularly MikeyT21)

Lse discussion board on GKP is now the more reasoned place for GKP discussion!.

Unprecedented.
Mikey,
What I was trying to say was the capital restructure/debt refinancing was just that. The removal of debt for equity. The OO $25M was to be used as part of CAPEX, along with what they'd scraped together from previous payments. The OO was not just to pay refinancing costs.
It was stated at the time the OO money and previous cash would be enough to get going on Capex to 40-50bbll/d
made not difference to the GKP finances what SP it was done at. No money was raised it was only debt for equity .
Simple point really.
Also Mikey, on the w/e you have argued very well that in try to close shorts(buiynig) makes SP goes down. And presumably putting shorts on makes SP go up. Not in 2014 then? ;-).
Just think if GKP had managed to Refinance the Bond Debt at 200p.
600,000,000 ÷ 2.00 = 300,000 000 would have to been issued and that would have only paid of the Bonds and not provided GKP with any Capex
At 40p the equation = 600,000,000 ÷ 0.40p = 1,500,000,000 new shares to be issued, which would still have left GKP in trouble with nothing for Capex.
Mikey, dividing 600,000,000 by any number gives you a number of shares and no Capex. Capex was raised by PI's chucking more money in at the issue price.
All these MASSIVE BUY trades at end of day. They are the buy-backs from the downward pressing intra day shorts and accumulation of the larger short buyback rolled into one... Right.?
Hi MikeT21, all interesting stuff.. I guess I've seen your stuff on iii and reposted on adorn.

However, how do they know that there are always enough holders that can be milked out by lowering the price?
I appreciate that there will be quite a lot of margined speculators in GKP but every day wringing the same cloth, or it just expected the the chartist/traders will just follow the trend?

Also, if there is news in GKP during this unwinding process surely there comes a point where they just can't get away with it?. Not like GKP to have any actual news though I must admit. Maybe some day the Co will get it's finger out. I appreciate going slow and steady is something the previous management could have give a thought to to save bankrupting the company.

You say the other hedge funds selling out will cause GKP to rise further. However, GKP sp has barely yet recovered from the recent Taconic sale. The prospect of being hit by three similar sibling waves kicking GKP down is filling me with JOY!.

Cheers again for info.

Samrt updated offer to 38p gain board approval and beat Geo.
So might take more than 50-60p!
Back again, I see! Interesting thanks! Wondering if they ever mention contracts with the Indian Govt. to provide LRIT a requirement of govts in the area to have installed by the end of this year. Investors in MTRK through ZYZ have been waiting long time for that one...?
What Clients? If they are buying why is SP tanking since listing and tanking today as well!
