Are more or less correct in what they say.
With time to spare I am sat here listening to radio 4, in the far north (of Scotland) reading and seeing how cold it is around the UK, with my last home in Devon getting to -7 degrees. Usually here, there is a bitter cold or very strong wind, this summer we did have a few warm and on occasions even sunny day's.. I have just popped out side in to the wet drizzly weather with the temperature of 4 degrees, expecting a high of only 5 during the day. So enjoy your cold spell. We envy you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you wish to get away from this cold weather you can purchase my bungalow for £160k+, so I can return to freezing Devon. While sat I thought i would see if there were posted comments on yesterdays sales.
Back to Seed, summing up: We (the shareholders) were completely mislaid by the BOD both with the value of Leap and its forthcoming IPO.
An SP of 20p was suggested based on Eds valuation of Leap. I must admit I did not think a company doing so well yet was not making a profit left me puzzled as to how they came to that conclusion and why it was valued so highly, plus the fact the BOD are not buying in, i thought that those wiser (I thought) and more knowledgably (thought again) who said other companies not making money were sold for exaggerated prices, I accepted what they said and invested in to FFWD / SEED to my regret and waste of time.
With a NAV of about 6-7p it looks a good buy with a offer price of 2.25p, which does surprise me in a way, yet I did say recently I would not be surprised to see it under 2p and regrettably I have not changed my mind, with it losing me even more money.
However based on the sales of firms in the portfolio which were well down on the expected price, can we really expect that if the portfolio was sold off and the Trust closed down with the money received from these sales going to shareholder's it would realise 6-7p per share. I highly doubt it based on previous sales and what potential buyers thought of Ed. I think 4p each would be more likely the amount we would receive, sorry to be so pessimistic after my years of saying FFWD/SEED was a good buy.
At 2.25p to buy in it would give a decent return. I am not buying in yet as I think it will go lower and Ed would NOT sell it while raking in a over paid salary. In fact Ed may sell each member of our portfolio to continue to have sufficient money to continue paying themselves until nothing is left in the portfolio.
I have read what I have written and think is this really a possibility? I do hope not, but do you think Seed will be rescued ? If the cannabis stocks grow making Seed being a stock to buy in to. We do need large purchases NOW to begin the rescue and if they do buy in then Seed can grow, especially if the money from Leap is invested wisely in cannabis related stocks. and the SP climb back to 6p plus.A 50% chance either way. What do I think what will happen? To be continued like a rotten long book!!
Are you rude to people in the street or face to face in public who you do not agree with or just those on here where you can hide?
You really need to look at yourself and your language, rude and ignorant people like you whose brain has very limitations and think that only they are correct have increased since they can hide in anonymity on the internet. You cannot even spell my name correctly. Do you really think people take any notice of you, you are just making a fool of yourself, Doggo now appears to be joining forces with you, at one time Doggo did, I think say some relevant things about Seed. Your comments are just laughed at by myself as they have no affect on me what so ever and I actually feel sorry for you.
For years I have asked people not to be rude to each other on here and it appeared to be working, but recently has started up again. You may have noticed people are NOT rude on here when the share price rises. Think we lost one of the worst offenders a few years ago if my poor memory is right.
Will those of you who keep a tight watch and have the time to spend on here have a look back and see what predictions were being made when Seed was between 5 and 6p. I think very few thought Seed would go below 5p, but have a feeling some did say it would go even lower. However when you are in your 80s your memory is not what it was.
I only look in here a couple of times a week as it is basically a waste of time looking to often. To day I am in waiting for the district nurse and other visitors to arrive so have looked in simple out of curiosity. I am now spending time sorting my late wife's things out as well as the house out for when I return south.
At one stage any one who said it would go below 5p were called silly. As I said if people do not buy then it could easily go down another 1p. It halved from 5p so it could ( note the word could) halve again regardless of what you think. I only have a small holding in Seed at the moment and am not buying in to see my holdings decrease again. As I said I do not like to think it but it could go down even further reducing my investment in Seed yet again. I have always posted Seed as a Buy. If you are so confident, post what investment you are going to make at 2.5p before you make it, to prove your it is your investment or are you one of those who is all mouth with little or no investment. I will look in again late next week if I get the time as I have appointments at the doctors and hospital and do want to get my place sorted as nothing was thrown out when I was nursing my wife 24 hours a day during her last year with me.
Oh If any one is interested they can have this bungalow with about 3/4 acre of garden for £174k.
Take care all, I remember you all in my prayers, as I class you all as "Friends" as we chat together on her.
Do not like to think it, but I can see Seed going under 2p. I appreciate there are only 3 trades, 4 if you count the 19 sale today, but it looks like that buyers are still just sitting and waiting to see how low it does go to. Holders who want to sell are thinking they will get out and save what they can of their investment, forcing the price down even more. There probably will be one decent purchase today by some one who just thinks it is cheap. Many have done this and it looks like they then sold out at a loss, realising their error in buying. Those who are sitting on the sidelines are thinking if they do miss the bottom when it starts to rise will still pay a lot less than they would have done by buying earlier. I am one sat on the sidelines and if it does go under 2p may then look at buying a few, but will not rush in at just under 2p. It really is sad is it not.
Now we have a NAV of about 8p, Allowing for the recent cash injection being invested in other companies, I worry that if the portfolio was sold it would not realise anything like that. So on calculating (which in fact is a guess) what I would hope to receive if I bought in at 2.5p. I am only expecting about 4p if it was all sold, giving me 60% profit. As things stand I feel at the moment the SP will struggle to go above 4p as investors will be wary of the quoted NAV. I do agree cannabis will grow and grow a lot but people will stay well clear of Seed with its present BOD as they feel you have to take what they say with a pinch of salt. Again I am open to being criticised for this pessimism. I am usually very optimistic as my strong buys for Seed in the past shows, by taking in the misleading information I had received. One of the reasons that you can do all the research and due diligence you like then something comes along and shows you that you wasted your time. As good as some of us think we are, we are just being used by BODs, tipsters, paper info etc. so may as well just invest in ITs that cover an out of favour section, excluding Aim and not waste hours doing research as there is a nasty hidden fundamental, often false accounting.
Had a small layer of the white stuff late last evening, but it appears to have gone more or less. Had to go to Inverness last week for a cancer check in the throat but was cleared, however they found a hole at the back of the nose which I should not have, cocaine sniffers get this so wondered if seed followers also get it!!!!!! another trip south for a biopsy, but was assured it was not serious, At my age it does not worry me as i have only pencilled in another 45 years of life for me. But if the performance of the Blues in the championship continues at the rate it has done in the past few years the 45 years may be reduced. I had to sort the books out for a football club recently and found they had 25K less than they thought. Underlining my thoughts of "do not rely on what you are told".
Has any one taken in a Ukrainian refugee? I have one applying to stay with me. A mother with her two children are being hosted down the road from me. The son who is 15 found that at our local school they were teaching things that were taught to him last year in the Ukraine, questioning our education and whether our teens are behind the rest of European teens. Its eight thirty you have let me rabbit on instead of getting changed and breakfast, plus my neighbour will be here with the Mail (Scottish version) and wanting her cuppa.
The amount offered does not surprise me. Think this leaves the NAV the same as it was before the offer. The BOD have lost a lot of investors a lot of money, while they racked in what I think is their exalted wages.
This cash ensures their wages are safe for a long time with them investing part in some other
company with part of the income from Leap, if they do accept it.
The portfolio probably is not too bad and will grow slowly. It is just the misleading information given to investors over the last few years regards Leap. It is just funny it is just going to leave the NAV unchanged more or less. The buyers name will be of interest and whether they have any connection with board.
Whatever happens we can do nowt about it and must just decide whether to sell up or stay. My own feeling is that a lot will get out which will make the share price even cheaper in the long run, assuming nothing else goes wrong and any member of the portfolio is not sold off on the cheap. So taking this in to consideration the SP will always be well below the NAV in my humble opinion. I am open to correction.
SELLERS CONTINUE TO BE IN EXCESS OF BUYERS AND MOST LIKELY THIS TREND WILL CONTINUE. SERRIOUS BUYERS ARE JUST SITTING THERE WHILE THE PRICE DROPS. ONCE UNDER 2P WE WILL SEE A SMALL SURGE, THEN PROFIT TAKERS WILL FORCE IT DOWN AND IT WILL BE REPEATED AGAIN AND AGIAN. UNTIL THE SPREAD IS AROUND O.5-0.7P WE THEN KNOW THE BOTTOM MAY HAVE BEEN MORE OR LESS REACHED AND SERRIOUS BUYERS CAN MOVE IN AND SEE THEM QUDRUPLE THEIR INVESTMENT.
AT 5P IT WAS SAID THE BOTTOM HAD BEEN REACHED, SO DO NOT LAUGH.
Forgot to enter that.
4 weeks ago I was not expecting to have been sent to hospital for chest and heart checks as well as a cancer check on Friday or have to have cataract ops on both eyes. Looks like I may have to go private for my one bad very bad eye as there is a 18-24 month wait and at 80 that is too long, then hang on for the other eye on the NHS. Do not like going private as a NHS patient could have had that spot. Thinking about it why do the NHS not put the amount they saved from me going private towards my costs? That must be my mean Irish part of me coming out!! However for once and it is the first time, I am putting my self first, which makes me feel bad about it.
Oh dear, see you are all at it again, lets be honest, none of us have a clue were the stock will go whatever happens. We never invigilated it going to 2.5p 18 months ago. So in another 18 months it may be 10p or 0.5p or not move very much at all, only time will tell. No point taking your frustration out on each other, or calling each other names, as it gets you nowhere.
We all know we were (lets say, so not to be rude) led astray, by Ed and his fancy price tag for Leap. Were his statements contrary to legal law on directors statements? probably not, but they should have been.
I am now preparing written information for my children as to how to get in to my lap tops and access my accounts with the passwords. It must be a nightmare trying to sort out someones affairs when they die if you do not have passwords or know where money and investments are. Well worth you all thinking about it.
Take care.
Will we get an outsider wine the WC? Do not rate a lot of the GKs tactics, a few of the scarce goals could have been stopped. Do you notice in general how many goals see the ball go between the GKs legs. When I was coaching we always told the GK to do as a mother tells her daughter, keep your legs closed.
Some "trades listed as sales are in fact buys" just follow the pricing, but then most of you know this. However the sales are starting again so if you want out do so now as it MAY start to go lower. It should not, but we said this at 5p
I may put some more pennies in to Seed and ITs again once I have exhausted the people who own premium bonds for me in their name, I will keep the small holding I still have in Seed. The majority of my money is now in premium bonds which keeps giving me getting a decent monthly income. Now added my daughter in law to the list of relatives who own PBs in their name for me, so as to increase the chance of winning a big prize, however I am quite happy with the "£100, £50 and £25" prizes I get monthly, with the investment safe as well, with no ED to rob me with false information.
How did Ed calculate Leap was worth £50 mil. Lucky to get £2mil now, unless it was to keep the shareholders on board so his wages were still paid. He and his cohorts have something to answer for. No buyers even at 2.5p. It looks like there may even be a drop to a new low. It may be worth people investing some spare money as it must be worth around 6p, a far cry from its previous trading ranges. For those of you with a lot invested in Seed the best of luck, if you can hang on in you may double your current value, When Cannabis takes off again you could treble it, but the wait may be a long time. I do look at some posts but they are identical more or less to all those posted over the last five years, along with the same criticism's.
Take care all.
Not sure what DaProphet means by being Longlad, Think you have lost the plot Da Prophet that or I have. I have no connection or spoken to ANY one else who has posted on here. Why should I, most appear to just tolerate me and my short comments or pass me off as past it. However it is surprising how many things I have said or suggested over my lifetime have come to fruition years later.
I was once interviewed for a position and asked to take an IQ test, after which they said I would not get the position as my IQ was far to HIGH. In the past they found that those with high IQs did not follow the companies procedures and were constantly either questioning what the company did or making suggestion as to what they should do.
Well of to a charity dinner to support the less well off now, then on to see the Doc as I have been fliting with death lately.
However I have penciled in another 45 years to live until my demise (125 a British record), something most seem surprised at.
