If you look at First Equity's research note, you'll see that they were extremely conservative in their valuation of Alba's gold assets, so that is where there is a big adjustment to be made.

The 500k figure comes from the Snowden report of 2012 mentioned in First Equity's research note of 15/06, from a report, therefore, which pre-dates Alba's own work.

Note that 500k ounces is the top of the range provided in the Snowden report, implying that, pending further work by Alba, indications were limited to that figure.

I see Scotgold is up by a similar amount on an encouraging RNS this morning.

Given that the placing was for 111,111,105 new shares, it does see to have gone, for the very large part, into firm hands, volume has been nothing out of the ordinary since Wednesday.

It can't be long now before there's an RNS re the exercise of more warrants, there's still £150k outstanding at 0.13p (amongst others).

Be grateful, that's a very well-timed buy from the opening of the session!

Agreed, don't think Alba has any need of leaks, it's simply that the share is registering on the radar of an increasing number of investors (and about time, too, imho!).
