Indeed, if and when the share price begins to rise, there is the potential for the rise to become a self-fulfilling one, as financial conditions visibly ease for Alba.

It's not the cash calls that are the problem as such, it's the price at which the cash is raised. Get the share price up and all becomes easier.

In addition, weather forecasts for Northwest Europe indicate temperatures near normal this week and markedly milder conditions next week, according to LSEG data. Mild weather, high wind output, and increased LNG and Norwegian pipeline deliveries have reduced domestic demand. With limited storage, the UK has been exporting surplus gas to Europe, with flows to Belgium recently hitting a one-year high.

What interests me is the volume which may change the share price. This volume varies according to trading volumes and is NOT a function of total issued capital.

Alba has undertaken considerable work in preparation for the next stage of the blasting programme.

The company has survived on modest placings for a good, long time now.

Given the Clogau gold premium, they do not need to find a vast quantity of gold (although that would be nice!) in order to trigger a market reassessment of their prospects.

Even a smallish quantity of gold would help to reduce the discount of the share price caused by the market's anticipation of placings continuing at their current pace.

The Company is in the process of clearing out the blast material from the previous test blast and making other final preparations in readiness to commence drilling and blasting in the coming days. Further updates will be released as the programme progresses.

Stake in GROC has slipped to 25.34% - that will be the exercise of warrants.

The Wall Street Journal reported this week that electricity costs industrial consumers in the UK the equivalent of $0.338 per kWh, and in Germany it comes in at $0.267. The UK has the highest industrial electricity rates in the developed world. In the United States, the rate is just $0.081, and in Canada it is $0.094. For household consumers, Germany leads with $0.425 per kWh, followed by the UK again, with $.0386 per kWh.

That such electricity costs are unsustainable for any extended period of time has been demonstrated time and again, especially over the past three years, by GDP growth figures, other economic indicators such as manufacturing activity, job losses, and consumer spending ...

Wrong in terms of the precise timing, perhaps, but not necessarily wrong in terms of the overall scheme of things!
