European power prices rose to fresh records on Thursday as a blistering rally showed no signs of abating.

The gains reflect a tight market for natural gas -- used to fuel power plants -- as Russia cuts supplies just as Europe works to replenish stockpiles for winter. A drop in nuclear-reactor output, as well as low wind and hydro generation, has exacerbated the squeeze, raising the specter of intervention to reduce demand.

“If Russia cuts off the gas and there might not be enough gas for the whole demand, then there would be rationing,” Annegret Groebel, president of the Council of European Energy Regulators, said in a Bloomberg Television interview. Blackouts “can be avoided, but of course it requires a lot of preparatory work that we are currently doing.”

It is Adrian who thinks Igas may be a potential participant in the pre-planned farm-out of Loxley (personally, I simply do not know).

I see Odey AM increased their position in Igas yesterday to 4.26% via CFDs, after announcing an initial position on 04/08: Igas's market cap is about £83m.

WG818, Saltfleetby was initiated under GL's management, Paul Vonk was not, apparently, in favour (see the transcript of GL's interview with Drill or Drop of 2019).

The meltdown dates back more than 3 years, to the commercial failure of Brockham and the RNS of 28/06/19.

GL arrived early 2019, Brockham is one of the legacy assets he inherited, he initiated the move out of the Weald and oil and into Lincolnshire and gas.

That sounds like the information on stockopedia which doesn't seem to have been updated since the days of Paul Vonk.

It's quite a Winter approaching the UK, its new PM and Europe.

Reminder:
