Alba never gave their approval to the proposed farm-in of PPP: when one reads this morning's RNS from PPP, one can only think that Alba did well to withhold their approval.

Have belatedly seen this morning's RNS from PPP - what a mess!

Following through on my calculations of my post of 13:22:

after allowing for Alba's stake in GROC, Clogau and the Dolgellau gold field are currently valued in Alba's market cap at about £1.2m;

£2,980,820 of calculated revenue is, effectively, £3m. Add on a mark-up for the production and marketing of gold products of, say, 100%, gives us a total of £6m.

Those potential revenues are capitalised at 0.2x in Alba's market cap.

You would need to put that question to GF but my understanding is he sees Tanzania as a difficult-to-refuse opportunity.

Until the 400 tons of ore are processed, nobody can know its gold content.

For indicative purposes only, the best information we have available is, I believe, the readings of the samples taken at Level 4 (RNS of 26/03): 2.87, 3.59 and 4.30 oz/tonne for an average of 3.59 oz/t.

400 tonnes at 3.59/t = 1,436 oz.

At current GBP spot gold price of £2,075.78 = £2,980,820, before the mark-up achieved through the production and marketing of gold products.

You've cited a document concerning hydrogen production and not hydrogen storage, this is not a document relevant to UKOG.

Published 23/01/24, but the government has changed since and the new government has a more ambitious timetable.

Hydrogen "Production", but UKOG's projects concern Hydrogen Storage.

Adjusting for the change in the price of gold, a 1/4 ounce coin sold in 2017 for £2,100 would sell today at £4,200 plus a bit.

UKOG has redrafted its "assets" pages since I last looked. The section concerning HH now reads as follows:

Horse Hill field: following an extensive long term testing period, the field was put into stable commercial production from 2020 onwards, but recently suspended pending planning consent redetermination by Surrey County Council. Expected to resume stable production in 2025.

If of any interest, the average closing price for gold in 2017 is shown as $1,260.39, so less than half the current price of $2,594.70.

From the 06/08/24 interview with SS on UKOG's home page, from 01:56:

"... the allocation support, essentially, will provide the capital funding, and also cover the fixed operating costs, of the project and that will likely be over 15 years, so that's a very big carrot".

Lacklustre response from the market, for the present.

Think the market may be underestimating the appeal of these few coins: the rarity of the source of gold, the fact that they are sourced exclusively from Clogau, the connections of the mine to the royal family, ...
