They impaired it in line with Anglo's impairment when they transferred the accounting method to asset for sale, such that cash flows further than a year out were not included, as you'd expect. I'm looking forward to seeing that NPV Kiran! :-)))

Indeed @degsie. 27% of Amapa is quite likely imminent, no matter what the FUDsters would like to spook you in to believing. But could be weeks, months even if something needs resolving first to our satisfaction beforehand. It has been spelt out to us that the raise was strategical to prevent the situation where all hurdles had been cleared but we didn't have the funds ready, meaning we could have lost the opportunity - and that really would have been something worth crying over!

DCE up nicely in evening trading... Just discovered that Cliffs was valuing Amapa at $1.66B at the end of 2011. :-) A lot to look forward to here for the patiently brave! ;-)

Not sure where you got that from @Bannor, but I thought it was £700k in cash for stage 4 earn in?

Indeed @degsie. AIM is weird, the mind boggles at how it's now possible to buy below 18p when we are on the cusp of taking 27% of a project that was valued on a discounted cash flow basis of around $1.2B, with Anglo originally valuing it much higher due to the growth prospects it could see, but was unable to bring to fruition - $3.2B in 2008. The $660m bandied about is a for sale valuation, which doesn't take into account cash flows out for more than a year... I'm personally of the opinion that the market is blind to the potential of Amapa - but each to its own! ;-)
