Certainly feels like we are going to hear something this week - hopefully confirmed by RNS the next day!
"What did Justin Trudeau say to AMLO about the fact that lithium and oil can be extracted by private initiative? During his visit to Mexico, Justin Trudeau said that the Mexican government must allow minerals such as lithium and oil to be extracted by private initiative."
Interesting find @EV!!!
Oh and of course that they are very likely being discussed in Mexico with president Biden today. lol ;-)
Feel like the rumour might be spreading :-))) Of course it's not exactly a rumour that we hold over 16% of the Sonora Lithium resources and over 18% of the lithium reserves now is it, just not well known! lol.
post-tax and 10% discount to boot! Put's certain other iron ore projects to absolute shame. :-)))
It's incredible how under the radar we are, nationally, never mind internationally in all of the press - zero mention of us holding over 16% of the massive Sonora Lithium resources (18% reserves). We really need to get the word out - though perhaps it won't matter how high the launch pad is in practice, we'll still reach the moon! lol
Absolutely @Mullins - all eyes on Sonora this week, but not forgetting Amapa is an absolute monster of an asset to us! 600 page PFS to look forward to reading sometime soon - now I wonder what might be holding up publication of that? lol.

And on Sonora? It's really what we've discussed and what's happening there. There's all of this rumour flying around, and I think my best answer I can give there is obviously Ganfeng are in continued discussion with the Mexican government, and our view is that the licences are valid, and let's see when that progresses, and once it does, we'll make the market aware.

Sonora really could come to a head today in Mexico. Hope all goes well and fingers crossed all long term holders! :-)))
It is my firm opinion that absolutely we'll get back to £1.76 if all goes well @Zoom! Clearly all did not go well when we were previously at £1.76, and that is what is possibly holding us back now, long memories! Fingers crossed for continued good news across all of our assets! Starting with Sonora this week ;-)
Looking forward to that speech later! Clarity on our MASSIVE Sonora Lithium holding would be most welcome :-)

Spread the rumour! lol. Get us noticed. I mean, we have something like $100B of in ground Sonora Lithium associated to lil 'ol KDNC - surely more deserve to know this? ;-)

Economic integration and the Sonora Plan will be the first issues addressed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Joe Biden at the meeting on January 9 at the National Palace within the framework of the tenth Summit of North American Leaders, reported the Secretary of Relations Exteriors, Marcelo Ebrard.

Quite surprised how calm the market is given what's going on in Mexico as I type ;-)
For those who haven't been following closely, the Sonora news he mentions a few times, and at the end is IMHO very likely to drop in the next few days if all goes well with Biden's visit. The Sonora Lithium is critical to the Sonora Lithium plan. DYOR. ;-)
Fantastic watch! :-)

I make the TL;DR on upcoming news as:
Amapa Iron Ore: First right of refusal to increase ownership stake from 30% towards 49% of a project with a post-tax NPV10 of $949m, IRR of 34% with previous discounted cash flow valuations of $1.2B Anglo & $1.66B Cliffs and an initial valuation when purchased by Anglo of $3.2B in 2008.
- Shipment of stockpiles recommencing when conditions are favourable.
Sonora Lithium: No material impact on our joint venture areas from recent Lithium nationalisation initiative.
- Sonora Lithium Reserves, of which KDNC hold 18.6%, are integral to the Sonora Plan announced at COP27.
- Waiting for outcome of discussions between Ganfeng and Mexican government.
Evergreen Lithium: Initial public offering anticipated listing soon.
Yangibana Rare Earths: Finalisation of agreement to take A$9m in HAS shares in exchange for our joint venture areas soon.
EMH Lithium: DFS, advancing discussions with government, EU and then with off-takers and financiers.
My Latest valuation estimates, and Due Diligence by u/EV-BULL suggest the market is currently discounting Amapa and Sonora to near zero contribution to the NAV.

And that is just phase 1... "The capacity of phase I is expected to be 50000 tons of lithium hydroxide."
Thanks @Zoom. With only 20 odd views each it's not surprising many don't appreciate what we have a 30% stake in.
Pretty astonishing eh @Zoom. I'm guessing you, like me and many of the other LTH's are all nicely loaded, otherwise we'd be piling in further! What we need is a liquidity event to draw attention to us from the wider market. Doubt many of us will be selling in any great quantity anywhere near these levels, so could be a fairly rapid re-rate ;-)
