George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Indeed @EV, though let's see what comes out of Sonora today/tonight/tomorrow first! It could be what we've been waiting nearly 10 years for - clarity on our massive lithium reserves! Who is selling today? lol.
Custeel Seaborne 58% Fe index rising to $101.70/t from $100.70/t. Shipping really must be imminent! Or plan B... ;-)
Handymax and Supramax indexes continue to fall. 2.43% and 5.11% respectively. Iron ore continue to rise.
Looking forward to the next shipping RNS! Port watchers on standby. lol.
Exciting times @EV. @Kiran knows that those that have done their due diligence are starting to get quite excited at the prospects! It's actually quite unbelievable that we are so cheap - no one wants to believe it until they see it: fair enough I guess! Each to their own. Me? I like an informed gamble with seemingly eye-watering odds.

And on Sonora? It's really what we've discussed and what's happening there. There's all of this rumour flying around, and I think my best answer I can give there is obviously Ganfeng are in continued discussion with the Mexican government, and our view is that the licences are valid, and let's see when that progresses, and once it does, we'll make the market aware.

Indeed @Zoom and all of those Mexican "reserves" (they actually mean resources) are associated with the Sonora lithium project. Over 16% of those 1.7Mt of Lithium (not LCE in this context) associated to little old KDNC. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this plays out! How much will be released to the public following tomorrow's meeting?
From December, but not sure I saw it posted at the time.

AMLO's three conditions for the United States and Canada with Bacadehuachi's lithium
1. That the lithium extracted from the mine stays in the productive chains of Sonora.
2. Acquire the commitment to install lithium battery plants in Sonora.
3. Lithium batteries manufactured here are used in the automotive industry that invests in Sonora.

For those not following closely - "Bacadehuachi's lithium" in this context is the Lithium Resources and Reserves KDNC has a decent stake in :-)

Well worth a skim! Thanks for sharing @Zoom
As in, we've had one period of shipping so far. Hopefully the second period of shipping is about to begin! :-)))
lol - by shipping - I meant the period, not the instance.
Wonder if we'll get a "locked and loaded" RNS BEFORE the first shipment is being loaded/leaves?
lol @Bannor - still not clear is it. Replace my: "What were we at last time we were shipping? In the 30's?" with "What did we reach in the period when DEV first started shipping ore (not necessarily our stockpiles) to when they stopped shipping ore? In the 30's?" I'm reasonably certain the answer is yes! But I haven't checked, and that is why it is a question mark.
lol @Bannor. Do you want me to rephrase to what I meant? "What did we reach last time we were shipping?"
IMHO the wider market hasn't a clue what might be about to land in Sonora. The huge Sonora proven reserves are key to the Sonora clean energy plan - of which a large chunk are attributable to KDNC. Anyone who thinks the mine plan will be sticking at 17.5/35ktpa LCE simply isn't paying attention. IMHO of course. lol

I very much look forward to the start of shipping - as I'm sure the market will too, it's further derisking! What were we at last time we were shipping? In the 30's? ;-)
And we will hopefully find out how Sonora Lithium is intended to fit into this plan later this week via litiomx.

We will move swiftly to accelerate the energy transition by deploying clean energy solutions, increasing the production and adoption of zero-emission vehicles in North America and transitioning to cleaner fuels.
...
To boost regional competitiveness, the three countries will seek to forge stronger regional supply chains, as well as promote targeted investment, in key industries of the future such as semiconductors and electric vehicle batteries, which will be critical to advance electric vehicle development and infrastructure. We will convene public-private dialogues and map out supply chains to address common challenges and opportunities.
Critical minerals are an essential component to accelerating North America’s clean energy transition. Each country will review and map out existing and potential reserves of critical mineral resources in the region, while taking care of the environment, respecting local communities, and adhering to high ethical standards.

Indeed @Barksy - sounds like the politics is playing out in our favour. Hopefully news later today/this week - on various fronts! ;-)
DCE up a couple of %. Shipping on the horizon :-)
First time in a long time!
