Yup somthing is ... look at some of the new reviews , most will never fly with easyjet again!
Imagine waiting in the arrivals terminal of an airport and finding out the transfer you paid for was cancelled and the hotel that you booked had been changed by the travel company and they hadn't bothered to tell you!
Then when you get home and try to contact them to ask for the money that you have paid for a service they cancelled to be reimbursed, there is no physical person to speak to and the online portal does not work!
Booked a city break in the Opera district of Paris with easyJet holidays. We carefully chose the hotel location for transport links (250m to 2 metro stations), meeting friends and the facilities that were around the hotel. I paid extra for transfers and allocated seats to help make a pleasant and easy journey. I checked us in 2 weeks before departure and printed the boarding cards and all of the information from the booking. So far, so good.
10 days before departure I got an email to tell me that our late afternoon flight was cancelled and we would be returning 6 hours earlier. Quite a long time lost when you are only away for a long weekend. Email 2 of the day, a change of selected seats, but still sat together. So I print the new tickets, and get ready to go.
Travel day.
The flight was ok and nearly on time.
We arrived at Paris CDG and couldn't find the transfer. Called the transfer company to be told easyJet had cancelled the transfers. Called easyJet to find out why it was cancelled and was told I would have been refunded when they changed the hotel I was booked into.
They didn't tell me they cancelled the transfer OR that they changed thd hotel.
I found all of this out after landing at the destination airport and was stood in the arrival terminal because I called them! And they hadn't refunded the money for the transfers.
After paying for a taxi to the hotel, we found that it was over 3km from where we had booked, next to a busy intersection on the city ring road, in a fairly poor residential area, over 1km to the nearest metro station. Not ideal when someone in the party struggles with mobility.
We had to cancel bookings at restaurants, cancel meeting with friends and we didn't feel very safe bring out after dusk. We ended up having to spend a lot more money than planned on transport around the city, which impacted the funds which we hoped to use for doing some touristy bits and a sight seeing trip. We had to save enough money to get ourselves back to the airport too.
The return flight was ok and nearly on time again.
After arriving home I tried to contact easyjet. Once home, there was nobody willing to speak to me. I got my call redirected 3 times before being told to look for a form online. The online form did not work and would not send. I have now found an email address which I have used to try and contact them and am waiting for a response. I still haven't had a refund for the transfers that th
